Publisher's summary

Howie’s group disembark from the Isle of Wight, but when the ferry they take breaks down they climb aboard a Royal Navy supply vessel at anchor outside Portsmouth Harbour to find a huge horde of undead. We meet Maddox and a group of council estate children who have survived the apocalypse by taking refuge in a cannabis plantation.

When a horde of undead attack the children, Howie tries to save them only to find they turn on him. Eventually a truce is called, and an uneasy alliance begins to develop.

Love this series!!

Any additional comments?
This Part 5 introduces the "gang" of kids led by Maddox. I cannot decide whether I like or hate Maddox. I tend to dislike him more often than not. He does not treat Howie with the respect and appreciation he is due and that offends me!! I dearly love Howie, Dave, Clarence and the "Lads" and I do not like when they are not treated well. This Part 5 is a little different from the rest of the books in the Series. It is still outstanding, but does not feature the Living Army as much as other books. Haywood continues to create outstanding characters with his excellent writing and Morgan continues to bring them alive with his excellent reading. This is a gripping series. I started with the free Deleted Scene (an hour long book) and was hooked. I listened to all that were in Audible.com and then started on the Kindle versions for the rest. As the new audio books were added, I listened to them even though I had read the Kindle versions. I have now finished Day Nineteen and must wait until Haywood write the next one. I am so addicted that the wait will be unbearable!! The series never gets flat or predictable. It is always interesting and compelling from Day One to Day Nineteen.

After reading the whole series twice, I find listening to someone reading it is a whole lot better.

RR Haywood brought it home for me, during the rescue of the estate.
I was raised on a counsel estate and the fear I had growing up came back to me listening to the fight Howie had with The gang of lads.
Even though they were Zombie killers, the fear of gangs of young people attacking you is so real and scary.
But the outcome as we know is Karma. Enjoy.

Love the story

One of the best zombie apocalypse book series I have ever listened to. It will take time to hear the rest but it will be worth it

Great Continuation!

Not only do we keep following Mr.Howie and his crew along the harrowing journey to safety but we come across an interesting band of brothers(and sisters). Enter Mattox and his gang of tough youngsters surviving and fighting for their own safety among the undead and other living who are trying to take their lives. Another adrenaline filled ride in this story, you won't regret buying it.

Council Estate?

Any additional comments?

Starting to depart from the sphere of Howey and team, I didn't know at first how I'd enjoy it. However the drama and great story that unfolds with the youth is quite engaging. without spoilers, there's a part you want to yell at the youths to grow up and see Howey and crew for what they are! I hope we return to this camp and see what has become of their dream, what I am deeming "camp lord of flies"

Too short to use a credit on.

Good narration and new characters. just too short. it feels more like a few chapters worth and only get from a to b. not worth a full credit and price means it makes more sense to purchase. please bundle more of them

Love this series!

I really love this zombie series and the narrator makes it come alive! Some parts are a bit predictable but most books like this are. Good series!
