The character of Mrs Oakes, she was a breath of fresh air to a structured world
I enjoy his charactors different emotions and he does a great job
Liked Jimmy Ducks and the two little girls
Good book great story and look forward to the next one
Those familiar with this series will not be disappointed with this book and as always the characters and story are brought to life by Patrick Tull's wonderful narration.
O'Brian is the absolute best author in the genre of historical fiction. Patrick Tull is an exceptional narrator. Pity that they are both gone. Their work lives on!
I am hooked on the series. But this book dragged on a bit in the beginning. I just couldn't get into this girl and the ship's company's drama. But then, she developed from a one-dimensional character into this complex and intriguing woman. More than meets the eye and totally worth listening to a second time.
