In The Shawshank Redemption, a man convicted of a bloody murder lives in a prison brutally ruled by a sadistic warden and secretly run by a con who knows all the ropes and pulls all the strings. He has more brains than anyone else in the sinister slammer and has a diabolically cunning plan of revenge that one can guess - until it's far too late.

"When two giants team-up, power follows. King needs no introduction, and Library Journal calls Muller the first superstar of audio. In this program Muller tells King's earthy story of perseverance in Shawshank Prison in raw, gutteral tones. Harsh though the story is, the delivery carries the intimacy of a friend talking to the listener from the passenger seat....Muller's flawless reading enriches King's powerful story, providing a superlative audio program." Hard to put down. One of my favourite Stephen King books. No horror here but a very good story. Frank muller, as always, is the perfect narrator.
The whole book .Have seen the movie thats why I bought the Audio .
When they went over his escape to freedom
Leave it alone .
I will listern to it again .
"A little gem"
This is a very short book by Stephen King's standards, but I think it's one of his best. A superbly told and uplifting story of the triumph of hope over adversity, full of sharp humour, a lot of sadness and regret, and with marvellously drawn characters. King's books adapt wonderfully well to audio, and Frank Muller might have been born to read them - his narration is nothing less than a tour de force. I confess that I listened to it at one sitting!
Five stars without a doubt and strongly recommended.
"A Masterpiece ."
I do not feelqualified to review a book by the master craftsman that is Stephen King. It is suffice to say that in my opinion this is one of the finest short stories that I have had the privelidge of reading.
A tale of prison life in the American penal system during the 1950s and 60s. Grippingbrutal, but ultimately uplifting, I read this book in one evening, I was almost unable to take off my headphones.
Brilliant narration, the narrator reminded me of Morgan Freeman, who of course starred in the movie, based on this book.
I honestly cannot recommend this marvelous audiobook enough.
Love Stephen King, love Frank Muller - match made in heaven if you ask me! Really enjoyed this and thought it was well worth the listen. A cracking story well read.
