Best-selling author Angela Elwell Hunt traces the life of Moses as seen through the eyes of three women: his adoptive mother, his sister, and his wife. This is a stunning recreation of a Biblical era and a faithful servant of God.

Great perspective! Educational and Inspiring!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Shadow Women to be better than the print version?

Yes, the change of readers was most helpful in the flow of the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Shadow Women?

Each of the "three" sections of Moses life is a full story in itself and I appreciate how this book brings significance to all three.

If you could rename The Shadow Women, what would you call it?

a deep reflection Within my own heart.

I would encourage Every Woman to read this book or listen to it and reflect on what God is showing to her. it reflected how a spirit of bitterness had become rooted within my own heart. and yet what a spirit of joy when that is repented of in a renewed relationship with God.

Moses viewed as a real person,

I enjoyed getting to know the "possible" story of Moses, as he grew up and searched for his calling in life. I had never really thought of his "early years" before. All the story line was plausible and the historical data shows the author did her research. Would recommend to anyone who would like to "imagine" the life of this biblical hero,

The overall story of Moses and the women in his life was excellent. It took me right into the Bible truths in such a vivid way. The drama and the performances were stunningly vibrant. It covered so much
In such an exciting way. It made me feel that I was an actual witness to every event. Fantastic book Angela Hunt. Thank you. What a blessing to glorify YAHWEH with the talent He has given you!

Challenging

This novel based on the Biblical events surrounding the life of Moses was very enlightening as to what theses 3 women might have felt and experienced. It challenged me to spend more time getting to know God through His Word the Bible.

mostly loved....

I mostly loved this book, and I'm honestly not sure why I had such a hard time getting through it. Sure, there's not many plot surprises when you know the bones of the story already, but I love Biblical fiction, so this is nothing new for me. I guess I'd say just that nothing gripped me towards the end.

Aside from that, though, I thought it was a very good book. Always interesting to look at an old story from varying new perspectives, and I learned a few things I hadn't caught about the Exodus before.

Enjoyed!!!

I enjoyed the separate views given with each character that was a part of Moses's life. Yet, each of the women had a special intertwining in that unique union. Well Done!!!

The Shadow Women

I love this author but this was very different for her But it was outstanding. Each character was depicted so well that you get emotionally involved with their plight. The accuracy to biblical facts was also very impressive and brought each women alive. The author also brings the whole story of Moses to life making it very hard to stop listening. These books were sheer pleasure to listen to and would highly recommend .

Better heard than read

This book gives a whole new dimension to the Exodus story that I have long missed. The Readers are excellent actors. Their interpretation of their roll is excellent and gives additional dimension to the living story.
