Publisher's summary

In Babylon Rising, Tim LaHaye began an adventure series that he calls even more exciting than his 50-million-plus-copy best-selling Left Behind series. Readers agreed, as the novel debuted as a Top 10 New York Times best seller.

Now, in the second Babylon Rising novel, Biblical scholar, archaeologist, professor, and hero for our times Michael Murphy is in pursuit of one of the most mysterious and sought-after of all Biblical artifacts, Noah's Ark. As Murphy undertakes his death-defying quest to ascend Mount Ararat, he will discover dramatic revelations of Biblical prophecies and be drawn even closer to the most terrifying evil about to be unleashed on all mankind.

With The Secret on Ararat following close on the heels of Glorious Appearing, the fastest-selling Left Behind novel ever, Tim LaHaye will further prove to be one of the most fascinating and popular storytellers of our time.

Don't miss the rest of the Babylon Rising series.

Captivating

This book is captivating ... hard to put down. Creative story line tying the old testament with the current. Gets your mind to thinking. Great book

Incredible

I spent at least 10 hours in my car every weekend, this book was amazing, I didn't even take phone calls while I was listening to this book. He twisted the ancient story of Noah's Ark into present day material much like Dan Brown. As good as Divinci Code.

3 1/2 stars

The story line was fun to follow, but the ending was weak. Based on the hero's actions through the book, I was expecting a more imaginative solution to the last confrontation on his part.

I am looking forward to the next book though. I'd like to see if the villian really is...

Ending falls short

I enjoyed this book and was not familar with the previous Babylon Rising. You do not need to read the previous book to grasp the characters in this book. The story is much like an Indiana Jones, but a little more relaxed. The history and story lines were interesting. My biggest issue was the ending. Many story plots were left unresolved. I can only assume that because this is a series, the characters have more in store for them. This book has heavy Christian overtones but not too preachy. If you enjoy DaVinci type books, this one will be a good read.

Fanatical

This book is just propaganda for fundamentalist Christian beliefs. It's also badly written. I did not get more than 1/4 of the way through before I realized that it really was a book which is premised on the fact that Revelations is literal. Nuts.

Another Great Book

Anyone that knows Tim LaHaye's books, knows what a terrific Christian writer he is. This book not only takes the reader through the history of Noah's Ark, but also presents it in a way that easier to understand.

LaHaye does a great job of combining history, suspense and mystery.

Babylon Rising Series

This series is totally addictive. I am enjoying LaHaye's writing here even more than in Left Behind, and that says alot. I am not so patiently awaiting book 5. I have read the books (have them all) and decided to hear the stories again with audio and am not disappointed. The reader does a great job defining the characters throughout the story.

Interesting

It is interesting how the author combines biblical history with suspenseful adventures. There is quite a bit of Christian proselytizing in the first part of the book, more than in the first book in this series. A good listen.
