Simplistic yet satisfying
The story was easy to follow and very predictable. I found myself wanting a little more romantic conflict between the two main characters, but the ease of the storyline made my 8 hour drive much more manageable, and in the end I was glad for its simplicity.

Can't put down story!
Sparks does it again with a story you can't put down until you find out what happens. As you read the book you start to care a lot about the people in the story and what happens to them. There is excitement, mystery, and romance (without the trash).

It’s a very emotional book full of love and heart stop incidents

Disappointed in details....
There are a few absolutes in the fire service. You absolutely do not run into a burning building without an air pack. And you absolutely do not go into a burning building alone. There were some other issues I had as related to the fire service, but those two were glaring. It disappoints me that such a good author would not have researched this subject matter more carefully.
