Then, one day, a raging, record-breaking storm hits his small Southern town. Denise Holton, a young single mother, is driving through it when her car skids off the road. With her is her four-year-old son, Kyle. Unconscious and bleeding, she - not Kyle - is found. And when she wakes, the chilling truth becomes clear to both of them: Kyle is gone.
During the search for Kyle, the connection, the lifeline, between Taylor and Denise takes root. Taylor doesn't know that this rescue will lead him to the possibility of his own rescue from a life lived without love. That it will dare him to live life to the fullest by daring to love.

Sparks does it again with a story you can't put down until you find out what happens. As you read the book you start to care a lot about the people in the story and what happens to them. There is excitement, mystery, and romance (without the trash).
The narrator is good, the story is fine. It is simplistic, but once in a while it is good to just listen light.
This was my third Sparks book that I have read, and I'd say it was the best of the three so far. It had the right amount of love and excitment, although a bit predictable. A nice easy "read", definitely recommended for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The characters are easy to like (mostly).
I read this book years ago and it stuck w/me. I decided to download it and see if it is still my favorite. Sure enough, it's better than I remembered. I think this one stands out from the rest of his books!
Not the best Nicholas Sparks book I've read. This was a good book but i found much of it to be a bit to gushy which usually is difficult thing for me to say.
