Thank God for the old Narrator!

While the last two books were great , the narrator was not. In fact, he spoiled the reading Thanks so much for bringing Richard Ferrone back.

The Return of Richard Ferrone!

As I have said in my reviews of each previous book in the series till this point: If you are a Christian, I would recommend this book to you not only as an excellent work of fiction but as a kind of companion to a Bible study of the book of Revelation. While I am not a minister or a Bible scholar, as a Christian these books are very accurate, and I know my understanding of the book of Revelation has been expanded through this series.
If you are not a Christian, I would recommend this book to you as an excellent work of fiction (which it is), and if it (re)awakens questions you haven’t asked in a very long time, if at all, then I would encourage you to seek answers like the characters in this series. Find a Bible and a church that preaches Christ, that if you are willing to hear it you may know the truth.
Now as for the story, Remnant lives up to the name of the previous titles in the Left Behind series. With realistic choices and dialogue, characters you can really empathize with, and another excellent cliffhanger; Remant’s story maintains my enjoyment of (and excitement for the fast approaching conclusion of) the series as a whole. Just make sure to pause and keep the timeline straight in your head at each time jump.
As for the narration, as the title says, in Remnant we get to hear the return of Richard Ferrone. I have certainly missed his narrating style in the last two books; his well-performed but not overdramatized accents, emotional voices, and deliberate speed that allows you to absorb the information serve to make Remnant a book you can sit back and enjoy.
The only note I can make on his performance is that in Remnant Ferrone has once again changed the pronunciation of Zion’s name. From Trib. Force - The Indwelling Ferrone pronounced Ben-Juda’s name the normal (and to my knowledge correct) way as Zion (Zigh/in), however in Remnant he began pronouncing it with long vowels (Zee/own). It’s a relatively small thing, but it has left me curious as to what caused the sudden change.
I am excited for the next entry in the “Left Behind” series!

Great Christian Fiction

If you keep in mind that this is fiction based on the Bible you will have the right frame of reference. While a lot of the story does have ties back into the Bible it does not intend on replacing it. Its an easy place for some to "get the bug" for faith although ultimately they need to be pointed to the only true authoritative source, the Bible.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series and recommended it to many friends. Unlike the movies, I found the books well done, and well produced.
