Publisher's summary

He's a game she never intended to play.

And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.

The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.

They're both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.

Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful...

Awesome Awesome

What did you love best about The Perfect Game?

I found the story very real and I could relate with the main character. It was truly enjoyable to listen to.

Which character – as performed by Dara Rosenberg – was your favorite?

Of course she was best as Cassie and it was obvious she had a connection to her.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to the next book and I hope it's just as good as this one and I hope it keeps the same narrator!

Must listen, must read!!

This story is all encompassing. Seriously you have to read to understand but you really get every emotion when reading this. There were parts were I wish Cassy would have went off on Jack but unfortunately I didn't get that. Otherwise I enjoyed this book a lot. The performance was pretty good. I felt like the voice seemed to immature at times and then you could tell here and there where they switched their voice up between characters too early. Otherwise I still enjoyed the book and don't feel that it took away from it.

Horrible Performance of such a great story

What did you like best about The Perfect Game? What did you like least?

Best - The characters
Least - The horrible narration

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dara Rosenberg?

Any. One. Else. She had horrible timing and couldn't seem to grasp the emotion behind some of the sentences. Plus, repeatedly mispronounced words. It was aggravating to listen to such a wonderful story being butchered.

Wish I had sampled before purchasing

I really liked this story but the narrator was not my favorite, she was hard to follow and I didn’t feel like her tones matched what the characters were saying. I’m dreading the next two books but also dying to hear what will happen next!

Terrible narration

Really liked the story. The narration was terrible! The voice was very annoying and hard to listen to.

Terrible narration

Skip the audible and read the ebook. I tried got thru about half thinking the narrators voice would grow in me. Not. I actually started disliking the characters so I had to stop and read the book.

Good storyline but the narrator was hard to listen to.

I liked the storyline, but the narrator started out like the characters were violent. Where teasing and fun-loving flirting was happening she made it sound like an abusive relationship where they threatened each other. It did get better, but numerous times I had to convince myself to keep listening. I think she was trying too hard to annunciate the text instead of letting it flow. I hope the next book is better read.

Such a wonderful job!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I listened to it on a long drive and really enjoyed it. I was engaged the entire time.

Which character – as performed by Dara Rosenberg – was your favorite?

I thought she did a fantastic job. A lot of narrators can be completely monotone and she poured emotion into every single character.

Who was the most memorable character of The Perfect Game and why?

Probably Jack because he was the most mysterious to me. It's hard to imagine a person just changing course and falling for a woman after being more of a "player". But I just went along with it.

Story good, narration sucked

I absolutely hated the narration I couldn't tell between Jack and Cassie's voice it was just bad they sounded like kids, childish, loud. I just didn't like it at all. But I love the storyline

Two narrators

Would have liked a male and female narrator. Story was great! Kept you on the edge of your emotions.
