Publisher's summary

It was a fun holiday romance under a moonlit sky. After exchanging passionate nights and only first names, Peyton Watts and Logan Weaver go back to their lives. For Peyton, it’s a return to her steady, conservative social circle and the not unwelcome overtures from attorney Margot Joseph. Meanwhile, Logan’s free spirit is happy again moving with the college crowd. So when fate throws them once more into each other’s paths, it shouldn’t mean a thing....

Hits the spot

Any additional comments?

This is the kind of romantic mush that just makes me melt. I'm a romantic at heart, and sometimes it's hard for me to decide whether I want to be the one doing the romancing, or the one being romanced. Lucky for me that with lesbian books, I get to be both... at least in my head. What happens when you have a vacation romance that leaves you both wanting more, but neither of you feels like you can push to continue things? You go home and do a lot of remembering of what happened and mourning what might have been. And what happens when you suddenly run in to that holiday crush right in your own city? Well, probably not what Peyton does.
I really liked this book. Logan was able to get Peyton out of her head, while on vacation, and in to the now. And the now apparently included a lot of hot sex for the two of them. The connection was so intense and visceral, that both are still thinking of the other long after they've said goodbye. And with a second chance provided by a surprise meeting, you'd think both would grab on and jump in. After all, that's what they've both been wishing they'd done. But Peyton has issues that hold her back. And make me want to just smack her upside the head. In the end, Peyton has a choice to make, and finally sees exactly what her choices would lead to.
I also liked Abby Craden's narration. She had a definite voice for each character, although there was a slip once or twice that made me go back and listen again to make sure I knew which character was speaking. All in all, a sweet, sexy listen that definitely made my day go by faster.

I'm In Love

For the most part I liked this story a lot; in fact I fell totally in love with Logan. Therefore I wondered why she kept chasing Peyton whose most prominent personality traits were uncertainty, confusion and a difficult time saying no to anyone. There were of course all the assumptions gone wrong, misunderstandings and lack of communication issues that seem inherent in romance novels; along with decisions that seem to lack any sort of coherence. Fortunately the prominent good things and good feelings that are a part of Gerri Hill romance novels evened those out. The first half of the book, the Logan at the beach portion, was great. The second portion was pretty good but could have been better, much better. It deserves the five star rating but I can't help but think about what might have been.

gawd I loved this book

I was hoping for a great story, character development and romance. This book did not disappoint. I enjoyed it very much. The best line, "C'mon, it'll be fun." Perfect book to escape into. Gawd, Abby Crayden has the best voice ever.

Brilliant audiobook

Sometimes you get an audiobook that is the perfect match of story and narrator. This was it.

It was such a wonderful romance and the narration was flawless.

Definitely hitting my favorite audiobooks list

The word is NO...

Wow Payton drive me nuts...
This is a great love story that will frustrate you because Payton won't take the time to learn the word NO...
I love Logan, and how she brought out the best in Payton. I found the story engaging and enjoyable to listen to.
Gerri Hill is a great writer, and the narration was of course amazing.
So yeah, you should read this book. it's worth it..

Great Listen!

I loved the realistic storyline and slow build to passion and dreams realized. Great characters and steamy romantic moments.

Frustrating character

I’ve read many of Gerri Hill’s books and while many have similar themes, this is the first book where I was absolutely frustrated with one of the main characters. Logan is awesome and if I were her, I’d have kicked Peyton to the curb ages ago. Narrator was great as always, to the point where I’m reluctant to listen to a Gerri Hill book with a different narrator. I’ve gotten spoiled.

THE MIDNIGHT MOON

Another home run written by Gerri Hill. I loved the Characters in this novel with the exception of one stuck on herself bi***. Listened to this story using Audible. (pure pleasure) 03/05/2020.
