Publisher's summary

In one swift moment, a fall wiped away his memory. All he knew for certain was that someone wanted him dead - and that he had better learn why. But everywhere he turned there seemed to be more questions - or people too willing to hide the truth behind a smoke screen of lies. He had only the name he had been told was his own, his mysterious skill with a gun, and a link to a half million dollars’ worth of buried gold as evidence of his past life. Was the treasure his? Was he a thief? A killer? He didn’t have the answers, but he needed them soon. Because what he still didn’t know about himself, others did - and if he didn’t unlock the secret of his past, he wasn’t going to have much of a future.

Another Great Louis L'Amour Story

As a Louis L'Amour fan, I've seen the movie, read the book, and have now enjoyed "The Man Called Noon" in audiobook form. The audiobook being my preference.

Steven Mendel gave a great performance.

If you've never read Louis L'Amour, this would be a great first. If you're a fan, it's a must!

Solid read

This one is little different than the other Lamour books I have listened to, but in a good way. Suspenseful and exciting to the end, narrator does an excellent job.

The Man Called Noon

As anticipated L’Amour has spun a captivating tale of the old west. His tale includes interesting characters and as always vivid descriptions of the land making the reader feel as if he were there. It is truly a well told story.

Great story of an amnesiac cowboy trying remember

love and memory loss bring him to a new way of living after years of sorrow and struggle from changes. Good presentation with likeable voice characterizations.

One of His Best!

Each time I start reading one of Mr. L'Amour's book, I wonder how this book will top the last one that I read. I love the adventure and his characters even the bad ones, but I am, then enthralled again. out of his books, 1 is the highest rating and 10, the lowest. This one is a 2 because some of the story drags a little. I gave "Reilly's Luck" my favorite and a 1.

Great Wedtern

Another one of my favorite stories from Louis L’Amour. It was performed well and I know I’ll have to listen to it again in a few years.

Doesn't hold up

I could see this story being formative for cowboy tropes way back when it was published, but now we've seen everything it has to offer a dozen times over. It just comes off as generic and underwhelming. Also why does the main character refuse to use contractions? Is that how people talked around 1900? So weird
