Berry Knudson had a talent for disaster, but when she climbed a tree to rescue a kitten, she wasn't prepared for the scrumptious hunk undressing in a nearby window, or her dive downward that smashed Jake Sawyer's pizza and won his heart! But was there room in her chaotic schedule for a risk-taking inventor with dreams? She took classes, delivered pizzas, and cared for three eccentric old ladies she rescued from the train station. But Jake thrived on a challenge, and he could be very inventive. Could he teach her there was time to make butterscotch pudding and let herself be loved?

I am amazed that I had the patience to finish the book...maybe just not the opportunity to go grab a different one for my player.
The heroine is not likable and the hero simply not worth winning. There was a point where I just wanted it over with.
The plot is predictable, but it could be a fluff listen if the reader were not so TERRIBLE. I still have two thirds of the book left, but she is so bad I will move onto something else.

I love listening to CJ Critt, so I definetly think that the audio version is better than the print version. She is so talented, I even
I love the roles of the old ladies. They made the book!
YES! I have listened to her do several of the Stephanie Plum series, so I was thrilled when I heard her on this book as well! She did fantastic! I am partial to how she does the Plum series because she has so many characters to do and does their voices so well!
Yes. The story is light, funny, and entertaining.
The male characters are sexy, but are very respectful. And, just about everyone has a quirky, but funny, personality. No one is judgement. Everything is kept is a humorous manner.
Her voice is perfect for the location described by the book. She has distinctly different voices for the male and female characters....much more variation than the woman who reads some of the other books by the author.
No, that's is what I enjoyed about the book, and Janet Evanovich's other books. I can listen to them while I shop, clean house, and cook, and stay entertained, but can put them down and pick them back up and enjoy them just as much several days later.
I think I have listened to just about all of Janet Evanovich's books and liked them so much that I wish a producer would turn them into a movie series.
I didn't think it was possible to write a book with NO plot whatsoever but here it is. AWFUL book, annoying characters, terrible dialog, stupid story. Even allowing for what it is, it's bad. Don't waste your credits like I did.
I was glad the book was short. I kept listening thinking that it was going to get better but it didn't. I thought my recording skipped or something but I was wrong! The ending was uneventful and left me with more questions than answers. Don't waste your money or time on this one! The narrator's voice was gruff - she did the elderly ladies well but not the younger characters. Definately not her kind of book!
