    Story
"Intrigue, spying and women. A bit too much."

Would have given a half star more if it was possible. Reading this reminded me a bit too much of of my ninth grade project on Jane Austen, which wasn't a very great one. The story almost exclusively deals with Stephen Maturins side of the tales, but not in most interesting way. You miss the sea.

    Story
    "Another fabulous one"

Sometimes, with these reviews, It's hard to make a distinction between whether you are providing a score for the story, or the narration.

Fortunately, with all of this series read by Ric Jerrom, there is no need to make that distinction. The books are, of course, fabulous, and this is a narration worthy of them.

    "Endless on-shore drama"

I thought this would be a naval-warfare epic. The first part was, but the second part was an endless political drama. I cannot recommend this if you're looking for suspense and action.
