Good idea, but didn't work. Situation is interesting, but the characters are wooden, and the plot drags. Quit half way through.

If you could sum up The Family Business in three words, what would they be?

First of all, I LOVED the performances, especially Ezra Knight! I love audiobooks that have different Narrators to play each Character... it keeps it interesting!
The story was very good and the role each family member played made me want to learn more about each Character. If you like the action and drama to continue in each Chapter, you will find this book very interesting... like all Carl Weber books! :-)

    "Just OK"

Overall the story had lots of twists and turns which was good. Some of the things that happened didn't really add up for me; London and Paris were a bit much for me. I couldn't believe London let her husband treat her the way he did; and I felt that there was something missing from the husbands story; what was with all the phone calls? And it didn't play well for me that Paris would go behind her father's word like she did. I thought it took away from the fathers roll.

If you could sum up The Family Business in three words, what would they be?

    LORD HAVE MERCY

What did you like best about this story?

The bitter/sweet relationship of the siblings

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ezra, Patricia & Michael made this story feel ALIVE, felt as if i was looking at tv, you can feel the excitment, sorrow or pain of the characters they're speaking.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    CAMERAS, ROLL, ACTION !!

    Any additional comments?

I find myself looking for books under narrators just to see what else they're reading. MY OPINION!!! Money well spent. Can't wait for the follow-up, so get to writing.

"Loved it!! Can't wait for the next in this series"
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Family Business?

When the "true" jobs of the characters are revealed.

Who was the most memorable character of The Family Business and why?

Of Course Paris. Wouldn't mind hearing more about Vegas, but I'm sure he will have his own story soon.

    Any additional comments?

This is must have to any collection. Drama, suspense. Twists at the end. It's hard to pause the book. You'll want to finish it in one sitting.

The book definitely met my expectations. However, sometimes the narration seemed a little over the top. Overall, the plot was good and the book kept my attention.

What did you love best about The Family Business?

    Everything.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Family Business?

Paris and Orlando characters...and when I found out what the "Family Business" really was.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Great visuals - I could picture the characters. It really helped with the different narrators for the characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was very "into" this book. I could easily picture what was happening and my mouth dropped open a few times (unexpected turn of events).

    Any additional comments?

I already downloaded and finished Part 2. Loved it. Make sure you continue the story with the second book - really an eye-opener.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This was my first mob family book. I gave it 3 stars because of the gangster life of the family. I like books than lean on romance.

Would you be willing to try another book from Carl Weber and Eric Pete ? Why or why not?

I prefer romances so it would depend on the storyline.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator did a good job.

Was The Family Business worth the listening time?

Yes, it wasn't a bad story.

"Good book...but not the best "gangsta" story"
Where does The Family Business rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ive listened to about 4 or 5 now, and this book would have to be #2. It was a good solid story, but FOR ME....all I read are the "Murder, Murder, Kil, Kill" urban fiction books, and sometimes the characters actions were not very "Gangsta". They were a bit too soft for me in some areas, to be this big bad "crime" family. But it was still worth the listen.

Would you be willing to try another book from Carl Weber and Eric Pete ? Why or why not?

YES!!! Because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Carl Webber! He can do no wrong in my eyes :-)

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

It was GREAT! It was nice for all the characters to have their own voice.

If you could rename The Family Business, what would you call it?

    The Wanna-Be's
