Publisher's summary

In his typical jaw-dropping fashion, Carl Weber returns with part two of his New York Times best-selling Family Business series. He's brought along a friend in best-selling author Treasure Hernandez, and together they've added more drama and new family members to the world of the Duncans. By day they are upstanding citizens running one of New York's most respected car dealerships; but by night, they're criminals who control most of the East Coast drug traffic. No matter whether they're on their day or night jobs, one thing is true about the Duncans: there is never a dull moment to be found.

Momma drama takes over the Duncan clan, as there is still uncertainty about who has fathered the Duncan sisters' new babies. Meanwhile, Orlando Duncan, the family's new CEO and a man with his own baby momma problems, has just developed a new product that may make the millionaire Duncans into billionaires. Orlando only has one obstacle in front of him, and it's not law enforcement or one of his family's many rivals. It's his mother, and she may be his most formidable opponent to date, because she's making the family take sides. Can a civil war within the Duncan family be averted before it tears them apart?

Good But...

Paris spoiled a@# will get on your very last nerve. It was way too over the top in this book.

Suspenseful

My mom and I listened to this book after finishing Grand Opening and Family Business 1. This one was a good follow-up. The new characters helped build the story and keep it suspenseful. On to Part 3...

Good books but annoyed with two characters!

I have about 3 hrs of book left so I hope I'm not speaking too soon & I'll have to eat my words later but Ruby & her brother Randy annoyed me this entire book so far. All of Ruby & Randy's hostility towards Orlando is irrational! They are both upset at him because he paid Ruby for sex when the whole purpose of being a call girl is exchanging sex for money! She hides from Orlando but then is upset because he didn't find her! Why go into hiding if you want to be found? Orlando didn't do anything wrong yet he keeps apologizing! And her brother not once but twice uses her as a chess piece in a game to benefit him but then gets upset because "no one marries a hoe!" I sure hope someone sets both Ruby & Randy straight about how unrealistic their expectations are based on the decisions they made with their life choices!

Don't mess with the FAMILY...

What made the experience of listening to The Family Business 2 the most enjoyable?

The ruthlessness of a family, who could at times seem out of control, but control was what it was all about... Also the different narrators were on point with every emotion throughout the story, pulling you in so deep you'll think you were standing right there...

What did you like best about this story?

The introduction of Sasha, she was a beast... The only one who could rival Paris, and if you're familiar with the Family Business, you KNOW, Paris don't play...

Which scene was your favorite?

Dinner time... Nothing like a home cooked meal with family... (old and new)

Any additional comments?

The Family Business Series is a must have...

What you do, could be bad for you &/or others

The story really was intense. One of the character's icon has such a nasty, jealous toward them you will but at the same time won't be shocked who it is. It's so hard to write a review without giving any of the story away.^

On the Edge of My Seat

What made the experience of listening to The Family Business 2 the most enjoyable?

Addictive. All the readers were good. The women have lots of graphic sex with strangers. Too much for my taste. That's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. After hearing this, listening to part 3 is a must!

What other book might you compare The Family Business 2 to and why?

The Cartel Series.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

They were all great!

My Hubby on board

this was a great book. so great and my husband has read two books ahead of me and has direct to me on which one to read after this book. We like conversing about the stories. Brought us closer together by being able to share all of the stories. Reading The Family business 3. Then will go back to read The Grand opening 2 and so on.
