Well performed and classic horror!
As both horror fan and practicing Catholic, I am tremendously fond of this book. It is obvious that the writer is having a great time reading this novel and is invested in his performance. Dynamic characterization and development really make this story addicting- despite the fact that it is a 12 hour recording, I listened to the whole thing in 2 days!

Absolutely chilling
After listening to this, I realized what a beautiful love letter the film was to the original source material of which these days are rare. id highly recommend this to anyone who loved the film.

Chilling!!!

One of my Favorite stories of all time.
The fact that William Peter Blatty actually narrated it adds so much to the delivery. All nuances were on target and I definitely enjoyed to hear the way it was written.

Scarier than the movie, and 10/10 narration!
I was shocked with how excellent the narration for the author was! The characters' internal monologues felt so natural too. Much more fleshed out than the movie (still a great movie). Some parts definitely had me too scared to fall asleep easily!

Great performance by the Author.
The movie is still the only horror movie that scares me. This was a good book with an excellent performance by the Author. It makes me want to see the movie again to compare. The only downside, to me, was the amount of time it took Detective Kinderman to bring up what was on his mind.

Great performance, better before the movie
The performance was great and brought the characters to life. However, I knew the story well enough for it not to be very compelling even though I saw it only once years ago. I think it would have been more enjoyable to have read this prior to seeing the movie.
