What made the experience of listening to The Doctor Wears a Stetson the most enjoyable?

The narrator did an awesome job.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I went into it not expecting much and ended up thoroughly enjoying it. I look forward to the other books in the series!

Don't stop writing.

Loved it!!!!! Best series to date!!!!!!! On to the next one. Just can't wait!!!!! wahooooooo.

honestly i found this story boring (yawn) typical, plan, predictable romance, almost didn't finish it, was that boring

I would compare the doctor wears a Stetson to nothing. I never read a book that would compare too. I enjoy reading this book.

Realnest. She bring out everything in this book. I just love it.

Yes I would. It breath taking lol

Yes, finding out they were going to have a baby.

Hope that she is going to write all of the brothers and sister story for this series.

Sweet story.

A sweet love story. This kind of love does happen. So I enjoyed it even more. l would encourage anyone who likes believable love stories to read the book.

It was a lot of fun to listen. Yes you know where it is going from the beginning but that is OK. Great light read.

This was a good story. I liked Cameron and Jesse and overall I liked their story. This is the first book I've read by this author and based off this I'd be willing to try more of her work in the future.

Jessie is a good woman that tends to think of others before herself. Unfortunately this means that she tends to make herself miserable about things that aren't her fault. She lost her mother before she was old enough to remember her and her dad got cancer her senior year of high school and eventually died. Jesse had planned to leave town to go to college and become a journalist but ended up staying and taking care of her dad and running their family garage instead.

Cameron is a good guy. He grew up on a ranch with his family but knew that what he really wanted was to be a doctor. He made plans for his future, planning to go to college to become a doctor and then live in the city. Cameron was determined to follow his plans and he did but although he loves being a doctor, the rest of his life isn't all he thought it would be and a visit to his home town ends up showing him what he's missing.

In High School, Cameron asked Jessie to his senior prom (she was just a freshman). Jessie had always had a crush on Cameron so she agreed. Cameron told Jessie about his plans to leave town and become a doctor but that didn't keep her from losing her heart to him that night and when Cameron left for college Jessie was heartbroken. Cameron went on to become a doctor in Houston and Jessie stayed in town and ran her family garage. Jessie eventually married a man named Tiar (not sure of the spelling as I listened to the audiobook) but he died in an accident and she's spent the last couple years alone (and stewing in guilt because she didn't think she was a good enough wife to him). Jessie has been having some money issues which makes things difficult as she owns mineral rights for a portion of Cameron's family's land. She doesn't want to lease those rights but if she doesn't she might lose her garage. When Cameron shows up in town it's for his mother's 60th birthday party. He's just been offered a big promotion at work which will put him where he always wanted to be (career wise). But lately he's found he doesn't like the politics and such at work although he still loves being a doctor. He's using his time away to decide if he should take the promotion or not. When he gets in to town his car overheats and he pulls in to Jessie's garage and they meet again after 17 years.

When they went to prom together there was a definite attraction and it's still obviously present after all these years. Cameron is all for pursuing it but Jessie isn't willing to sleep with someone that's just leaving town in a few days anyways. The visit shows just how good they could be together and has Jessie wishing Cameron would move back and Cameron wondering if he could be happy in his home town after all. The visit shows them both just how right they could be together but Jessie refuses anything physical. Jessie is very active in the community and is opening the first local clinic (saving people from driving 80 miles 1 way to a doctor). She shows the clinic to Cameron and he can almost see himself there but isn't willing to seriously think about moving back. Cameron does leave to go back to Houston but he can't forget Jessie and visits again a few weeks later. With the second visit Jessie gives in to his advances and they start a relationship even though Jessie isn't sure where it could go. Cameron ends up deciding to take the job in the clinic and move back but that doesn't give him the HEA that he hopes for and this is because of Jessie. Lets just say that Jessie's guilt complexes makes her believe that she's responsible for everyone else's happiness and she makes excuses not to give herself happiness for stupid and untrue reasons. Fortunately for her (and us as the readers), Cameron isn't willing to let her ruin their lives and does what he has to to convince her they're supposed to be together and her reason to the contrary are just crap. With some effort and some really sweet gestures, Cameron does manage to convince Jessie and they get their HEA.

This was an enjoyable story. I liked Jessie overall but I did get very frustrated with her over her inability to allow herself happiness or even to see the true that was staring her in the face. Cameron was great, nuff said. The story was pretty good and to be honest I probably would have given it a solid 4 stars if not for my annoyance with Jessie letting guilt rule her life. I still debated whether to give 3 or 4 but finally settled on 3 but it's close to 4. I may try more of the books in the series in the future. I liked Cameron's sister and am curious about her story. :)
