Dr. Kasen Phillips has the magic touch when it comes to helping his patients who are in dire need of counseling services, but when the love of his life winds up missing in action, Kasen's life takes a horrific turn for the worse.
His office manager, Voncile Harper, is there to lend a helping hand. She's on a mission to shake Kasen from his misery by offering him her sweet heat, which he can't resist. It's not long before Kasen finds himself caught up in a web of Voncile's lies, and when he realizes that he may have bitten off more than he can chew, he wants out of their reckless relationship for good.
Unfortunately for Kasen, walking away may be difficult to do. Voncile is deep in love, and any man who refuses to play by her rules may be forced to suffer dire consequences.

This is a typical stalker chick and jealous best friend story.Their motives were pretty weak, but I guess crazy people aren't supposed to make sense. However, it was suspenseful and I truly could not predict the outcome, so for that I gave this a four-star rating. The narrator did a pretty good job keeping it interesting and giving the character's personality through voice. great job I will definitely continue to read and listen to Carl Weber's books.
the narrator makes the book hard to read. I'm not finished with the book but I had to write the review....this book has been pissing me off! I can't wait for it to be over and make sure this crazy chick gets what she deserves. I am seriously angry about the way vonciel's character is so....so...CRAZY and mean.
The female narrating this book did not do a good job impersonating the main male character. Since the book was from a male perspective, the impersonation, became very annoying. I love Carl Weber books, but was disappointed with this as an audible version
The Shoe Diva
No one that I know. It was boring and predictable.
Intentional Living by John C, Maxwell
The End when the book was OVER!
Those long drawn out scene of Rain being held hostage. I have enjoyed most of Carl Weber's books. This one was written as though he had to fulfil an obligation. It was boring and predicatable. I was not sure if Omar was the Omar from Up to Know Good since there was no reference.
I still enjoy his book and will continue to purchase them. I guess he cant always produce best sellers, Better luck on the next one.
Lynnette Freeman's talent is phenomenal. Her ability to change her voice so many times and make each character sound totally unique was amazing. LOVED THIS BOOK!
I actually enjoyed the read but I have to agree with a previous review the Doctor wasn't the brightest.
