In the years that followed, scholars came to believe that the copper scroll could be history's greatest treasure map, one that could not only lead to the treasures but pave the way to the building of the Third Jewish Temple.
But the scroll's code has never been broken, and experts from all sides warn that any effort by Israel to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem would unleash a war of biblical proportions.
Now, exactly 50 years after the Copper Scroll was unveiled, New York Times best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg takes you on his most exciting and heart-pounding ride yet.
Saddam Hussein is gone. Yasser Arafat is dead. A New Iraq is rising. Now White House advisors Jon Bennett and Erin McCoy find themselves facing a terrifying new threat triggered by an ancient mystery.

"Jeff Woodman narrates this action-packed adventure with nuances in tone and accent to differentiate among multiple Middle Eastern characters and [the] American researchers....This engaging production will keep your attention from beginning to end." (AudioFile)
This is a great story, a cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. Political intrigue, Biblical prophecy, the search for the Temple Treasures. This book moves very fast, with many surprises. I started here and really enjoyed it, but would recommend you start earlier in the series, with the Last Jihad, the Last Days, or the Ezekiel Option. The characters build through the series and there will be some things you won't understand right away.
I will have to say that this book was wonderful. It was full of action and it keeps you wanting to know more. The book really makes you think of what is about to happen. I didn't want to put it down. I would recomend that anyone interested in the end times should read this whole series. Be sure to read from the beginning of the series. Get all 5 books downloaded and you can keep going all through the series without stopping. They are great.
Joel Roesenberg's series The Last Jihad is prophetic for today! If you are the least bit interested in the "End Times", this series is for you. This author is on top of the truth! It is exciting and riveting and thought provoking. Start with the first in the series and you will be hooked!
Riveting and well written, as with Joel’s previous books in this series. A credible interpretation of biblical prophecy. Interesting links to current events. Non-stop action. The audio book narrator, Jeff Woodman, did an excellent job conveying the emotions and drama of the story.
While I would strongly recommend this book if you are reading the series, I found this one to be less political thriller and more Indiana Jones to the extreme. An archaeology expedition amidst dangers and villains is exciting, but I didn't feel that this book was quite as well written as the previous three.
This might be the best of all in this series. It is full of adventure and suspense with rich historical and political facts will provide a wealth of education beyond all expectation. The awesome reference to faith in a sovereign God and a consistent gospel message woven all throughout this and every Rosenberg novel are what put his over the top.
This was fiction but was very believable. He writes a good story using mostly Old
Testament scripture. I liked the ending when he included his mother in the story in a positive way.
I love books with significance
Had never heard this part of the scrolls before and found it very educational and interesting. Keep my attention and was so worth every second of listening.
Whole series is excellent
Life is a journey, enjoy it......because one day it will all end.
This story became way too sappy for me. At one point I had to make sure I accidentally didn't download a Nicholas Sparks book. The story starts to pick up about a third of the way through as long as you can stomach the beginning.
But the narrator could have been a lot better. He makes the character seemed kind of whiny. Also the actor style reading of this book was a little distracting.
