Working for the FBI certainly isn't a "normal" job, but Special Agent Julie Ann Davidson has never encountered a case as personal as this one. Although not officially assigned to the case, Ann and her partner, Patrick Duncan, take up the cause of finding Rachel, Jason, and Emily Collins. As if that task wasn't enough, Ann and Patrick also have a baffling case of internet thievery to investigate. Who is Christopher Collins and what about his past is endangering his family? Where are Rachel and the kids being held? Where is God in the midst of chaos? Will Ann and Patrick arrive in time or will they find only pain?

I loved this story. (As much as I can love a straight mystery. I'm a fantasy gal)
The actually writing quality was a little lacking, but didn't stop the enjoyment.
Ann and Patrick were great characters. I hope they'll be in the next book.
Kristen Condon is once again a brilliant narrator.
I received a free copy from the author. I was not obligated to write a review. All opinions are my own.
My husband and I listen to audio books all the time as we 're retired and travel together doing volunteer work. It's a real delight to find a story that appeals to both of us with an interesting and exciting mystery . It has the added plus of containing Christian values and not containing the "junk" we find offensive. We look forward to reading more stories by this author.
The narrator had such an unemotional voice that I found myself bored, drifting off in thought and losing track of the story line. I have the book and may go back and read it because of the good reviews. For me, I would not chose another audio book with this narrator
The Collins Case is the first book of the Heartfelt Cases and a Christian novel. From the surface, the Collins family seemed like the perfect family. Christopher and Rachel are medical doctors with a son, Jason and a daughter, Emily. However, Christopher Collins' is not who said he is and his past has caught up to him and has placed his whole family into danger.
FBI Special Agent Julie Ann Davidson and her partner Patrick Duncan has placed themselves into the Collins Case unofficially. Julie, who is Rachel's best friend, felt that she needed to find out the disappearance of the Collins family after their house has exploded while she and Patrick are put on an internet heist involving million of dollars stolen.
The Collins Case is a very interesting story to listen where Julie Davidson and Rachel Collins have placed their faith in God to help them out of their predicament. Julie is keeping her faith that God will help her to find Rachel. Rachel is praying that God will send someone to rescue her and her two children. This book has some twists and turns that will keep the readers and listeners to guessing of what will happen next in the story.
Kristin Condon, the narrator for the audiobook, sounded flat with her narration. There were no infliction of emotion for the characters even though the story has enough actions and conflict to carry to the end. What is unique about the audiobook is that there are music at the beginning of each chapters. This is the first audiobook with music that I have encountered and find it refreshing.
I was given this audiobook by the author/narrator via Audiobook Blast in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated or influence in any way for writing this review.
A decent story but rather predictable...
the narrator had problems with any words ending with "nt". this was a real annoyance to me, but overall, not a bad narrator.
I enjoyed the prayers & trusting in God very inspiring. So little of it is found in writings these days.
I liked how the young girl's death was not in vain through her gifts.
Ann, the FBI agent is a strong, compassionate woman who relies heavily on God.
I received this book free in exchange for a review. Thank you Julie Gilbert!
I love audio books! I love to read and this opens up even more time to enjoy a good story.
I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review. I really enjoyed the narrator of this book. She has a wonderful voice. The story was good too. I tend to shy away from Christian fiction. I am a Christian but the authors tend to go over the top sometimes. But Julie Gilbert was great in incorporating a Christian message without going overboard. The mystery was easy to fallow and you enjoyed the characters. I hope to listen to more in this series.
Norwegian in a English world!
The Collins Case: Heartfelt Cases, Book 1 is a christian fiction! Yeah i know! Kind of weird right? This is a clean, christian and suspenseful story. It will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. I thought the characters were well developed. This is the first book I have listening by this author. I think we will hear a lot from her in the future. Gilbert`s fresh, inviting, upbeat writing style is easy to follow and very captivating. For a rather short book, I was surprised at how much was included.
Here is my MAIN problem: The music in this book does just don't fit! Kristin Condon is good, but when the music comes i want to "fast forward" the book. It iterates almost so much i want to scream, but i am happy it is just between chapters! 4 hrs and 35 mins goes fast, and i still want to hear more, so i am glad there is more books in this series!
