The Collected Bowdrie Dramatizations: Volume 2 (Dramatized)

Chick Bowdrie could have ridden the outlaw trail, but the Texas Rangers recruited him, because they didn't want to have to fight against him. Pursuing the most wanted men in the Southwest, he knew all too well the dusty trails, the bitter cattle feuds, the desperate killers, and the quiet, weather-beaten, wind-blasted towns that could explode into action with the wrong word. Follow Bowdrie's adventures in six classic westerns by America's favorite storyteller, Louis L'Amour.

Publisher's Summary

Chick Bowdrie could have ridden the outlaw trail, but the Texas Rangers recruited him, because they didn't want to have to fight against him. Pursuing the most wanted men in the Southwest, he knew all too well the dusty trails, the bitter cattle feuds, the desperate killers, and the quiet, weather-beaten, wind-blasted towns that could explode into action with the wrong word. He had sworn to carry out the law, but there were times when he had to apply justice with his fists and his guns. They called in the Rangers to handle the tough ones, and there was never a Ranger tougher or smarter than Bowdrie.

What the Critics Say

"L'Amour is a master storyteller, who speaks personally to listeners about his life and stories in this collection of Texas Ranger Chick Bowdrie tales. As we join Chick in his adventures all over the Southwest, a full cast enhances the characterizations, and realistic sound effects and music dramatize the gunfights, saloon brawls, and cattle roundups." "Louis lamore is the west"
Would you listen to The Collected Bowdrie Dramatizations: Volume 2 (Dramatized) again? Why?

I became addicted to the chick bowdry collections in the early 1990's. My sister
brought home a few louis lamore cassette tapes and wow I was hooked. I listened
    when I clean house.

What other book might you compare The Collected Bowdrie Dramatizations: Volume 2 (Dramatized) to and why?

    Anything by the author.

What does uncredited bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Uncredited is the voice of Chick Bower is.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes while I was sewing a quilt. I find that audiobooks help so much in my art
    Projects.

    Any additional comments?

I would like to see more dramatization of all of the books.

L'Amour's best work by far, commentary by the author really adds insight to life back in Bowdrie's day

I am a proud Mexican woman that loves words and reading/listening to books. I also believe that only through knowledge can we achieve progress.

Bowdrie and Louis L'Amour are classics from an era long gone. I LOVE listening to the stories and going back in time to when men were cowboys and gentlemen. LOTS of fun!
