Best - The ending and how the theme of the book really all came together.
The least - The narration was very boring and not captivating.
Absolutely, I have loved all of his books prior to this one, so I'll just chalk this one up to bad narration.
I have really enjoyed listening to Richard Paul Evans books. This Book really lets you know what Christmas is all about. I think so often times we get caught up in the gift giving and forget the real spirit of christmas.
Texas 2 Step
Do you know what the first Christmas Gift was? If not, this story will help you to remember; it's a great tale to help you focus on the important things in life!! everyone should read this story at least once a year :)
I really enjoyed listening to this book during this Christmas season. It's a perfect story to bring some introspection and meaning to Christmastime.
A good, sweet, heartwarming Christmas story. Evans is gifted in the art of concise storytelling and this is a good book to listen to with the family during the holidays.
I don't usually rush out for all the "best sellers", but give each intriguing book/author a look. I have found many diamonds in the rough.
Oh if only to realize our blessings everyday before tragedy opens our eyes to them.
The title of this book is misleading at first. The listener will be treated to a wonderful tale of a widow, her past, and the family that comes into her life. The end of the story caused me to have tears in my eyes AND my heart. Of course, I'm a sucker for any story that has nostalgia and deep feelings.
"Well read and heart-warming "
The narration is well-done for easy listening. This short story is poignant and simple. I enjoyed it and will listen again.
