Despite his attempts to be neighborly, the appealing redhead seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him...and the presence of her longtime boyfriend doesn't help. Despite himself, Travis can't stop trying to ingratiate himself with his new neighbor, and his persistent efforts lead them both to the doorstep of a journey that neither could have foreseen.
Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage, and family, The Choice ultimately confronts us with the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

"A tender and moving love story...Sparks' latest does not disappoint." (Publishers Weekly)
I mean, it was a love story so that's what I liked best. BUT, I felt like the story line was choppy. Also, it unfolded over an unbelievably short amount of time. Then, the skipping of years was super confusing. This is kind of like "The Notebook" gone bad.
Make the story less predictable, add more depth and time to the story line.
Not the best of Nicholas Sparks books..interesting story bit too many details that just dragged on and on..I had a hard time listening to the narrator too..overall it was an ok book
I enjoyed the book immensely but feel it ended rather abruptly. The ending wasn't believable...don't want to leave a spoiler but what happened at the end isn't possible in the manner it occurred.
This book was absolutely amazing!
The only issue I had was that on some of the chapters the started it off with music and ended some of them with music .... After the first chapter I was side tracked by it, kinda thrown off. I didn't like the music to start more than the beginning of the book or to end the book..
I really liked this book. Love Holter Graham's narration. He is awesome and grabs you into the story so much more.
The story is about Travis and Gabby and how they meet. It is such a funny beginning and NS writes this in such a fun and cute way. The first 3/4 of the book is great fun and uplifting.
Then tragedy happens and the last quarter of the book is really tough to get through. It grabs your heart and soul about "The Choice" Travis has to make. Well Done Nicholas Sparks!! 5 stars and worth a credit since his books don't go on sale. :-(
