Despite his name, billionaire Chance Bennett has never been a man who liked leaving anything to chance. The success of his company was due to careful design rather than luck and this is something he feels he can replicate in all parts of life, including relationships. Now he has made his fortune he feels it is time to settle down and get married.
However, Chance does not want to leave it up to the gods of fate. He wants the woman who is perfect for him and he wants to meet her now. So he uses his technological resources to create an algorithm that will search Manhattan for a woman who is perfect for him. He believes this is the only true way of finding "the one".
When the machine throws up the name "Regina King" from Harlem he is intrigued and he knows he has to meet her. If the machine is right, this is the woman he is destined to marry and he will stop at nothing to make it happen. Chance Bennett is confident he has designed the perfect relationship from which they will happily ever after, but can true love really be designed?

It wasn't anywhere near realistic. If this had been a real book I would have thrown it across the room.
The sentences ran together. The timing was off. The voice inflections were terrible and often like listening to grade school age child read a book out loud. I think that the narrator needs a lot of practice before she narrates another book.
I was most insulted that the main character seemed so immature. I couldn't believe that she would let her ex come anywhere near her.
This was the worst book I have ever read, and I would like my money back.
Ok I understand that we sometimes fall in love with Mr Wrong and then he comes back and we're still in love with what could have been but come on. I just wanted to choke her. I also wanted to choke him he was just as bad. However, it was true to life and every one know people like that even if they don't have the money. But I must say I'm glad she had her own gig too
Traveling therapist listening to AUDIBLE books while driving to far areas. Also host/produce radio show on KGLP 91.7 on staying positive!!
Interesting concept. Extremely rich WM playboy. Reflects on his life after his best man finds love and gets married. This wm decides to use a computer program for HIS perfect female. After the program spit out 3 women. He goes under cover to woe them. Hide his true name he falls for the the 3rd woman but, she finds out about HIM and his computer search. The secret is out but, she has secrets of her own. I really enjoyed this story. The color difference was only mentioned as a description. Mostly the story centered around "class" She was a business owner that gave back to community. He was from the rich and bored that lived separate from the "common" person. This story was worth every penny.. Great job Alexis Gold. I look forward to more audible stories from this writer..Lots of diversity and realistic situations.
I really enjoyed this book. There were times that made you want to talk to the characters, times when you felt like you wanted to cry or just laugh out loud. And the ending was the most precious thing I have read.
the narrator was horrible - she kept forgetting to change voices which remained flat and dry. I am assuming she is Caucasian - she tried to hard to and it came off fake
A different narration
