Shocking End

I love Beverly Lewis novels and this one is quite familiar but with a surprising ending.

Enjoyed this book

Read this book with audible and I must say earring the narrator moisten her lips and swallow was really annoying but she does have a nice reading voice

Other than that the actual book was good. At one point I said out loud “no!!!!” So I was definitely into it. Hoping to finish the series of books as I’m now invested in this Amish romance incestial love triangle 😂 I grew to truly hate Sadie. Never have I been so pissed at a fictional character 😒 I’m hoping book 3 has a better ending…book 2 left me feeling really incomplete.

a nice story

This is my first Lewis after reading in the Wall STreet Journal that she wrote stories about the Amish. This was a good story, a make you feel good kind of story. The Amish have one commonality with we Englishers, we are all human beings, imperfect yet our very natures feel the good and bad in life. I enjoyed this book, I'm sure I listen to the author again.

Deception, selfishness, prayer, God’s love

Deceptions and tangled webs come to mind!
Great story!
Love all of the characters.
Plain life and all it has to offer-twisted and forgiveness.

Horrible ending

I would have given this five stars if it weren't for the horrible ending. As far as the narration goes, the voice is pleasant enough but all the oral noises throughout drove me crazy. I would like to know where this story goes but I'm not sure I could stand the narrator for another book.

not for me

This story was excruciating and I don't know why I finished it. I was hoping that it would get better. In fairness, I did get a glimpse of Amish life and learned of customs/ traditions. The language was true to Amish speech, but you will find it boring if you are accustomed to modern life and lingo. Read this book to learn about Amish life, but if you are trying to find a juicy betrayal story, you must look else where.
