This was becoming an interesting story as it introduced all the characters backgrounds. However the narration changed after an hour or so and was read like a story aimed at 3 year olds. Subjects such as sex, prison and divorce were read like the characters were on a day out to the zoo. I gave up.
The character development was most interesting.i
I love Veronica Henry's books but this one isn't one of my favourites.
it's a good book to listen to but I didn't gel with the characters very much.
The story lines for each of the people dipicted were a little too 'perfect'for my taste and I felt it came across twee.
saying that, it was pleasant enough...
"Easy relaxed reading"
Great narrator and excellent story. This is a fab book for lazing in the sun and relaxing with. I have also read The Beach Hut by the same author which I thoroughly enjoyed.
It comprises of stories of the characters in a seaside resort who all own beach huts but the stories intertwine.
Well worth reading and I'm going to try some more by this author.
This is a lovely story of families living through good and bad times beautifully written and portrayed. I couldn't stop listening until the end.
