Couldn’t put down

Loved this follow up book to Power of One. It was not quite as good as Power of One but almost. The character development was amazing. Performance was beyond a 5.

A Compelling Story

A well written sequel set in South Africa during the conflict of apartheid. The story is a sequel starring PK who is the white hero of South Africa who falls in love with a black woman. Their love is against the law but a true love for them both.

Thank goodness for this sequel

I was so happy to find out how it went for Pekay. It was seamless. It will have you on the edge of your seat, bring you to tears, and give you a few laughs.

Tandia - a wonderful story

This is a beautiful and emotionally wrenching story set in South Africa under Apartheid. The narrator is outstanding. I will definitely look for other books by this author, or narrated by this narrator.

Excellent

This was a really great follow up to Power of One. I couldn't turn it off. The narration is great- the accents make it come alive.

kept my interest

This was not as good as the original, "The Power of One", but I still enjoyed listening to it. Sad, though.

Magnificent continuation of Power of One

The story and narration are powerful. The story is just a tad less gripping than Power of One, but still far better and above most writing in other books I've listened to this year. The narration is so wonderful that it transports you to another time and place with ease.

The story is over, but there is still a feeling of being stunned by the magnificent telling of it.

Full Circle

Where does Tandia rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is by far one of my favourites.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that it is the sequel to the Power of One and follows the story of one boy into adulthood while expanding into different characters and storylines. It is set in a really interesting and dreadful time in South Africa's history, to read or hear this book is to really imagine what it was like at the time.

What about Humphrey Bower’s performance did you like?

He is fantastic, enough said.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. and for 26 hours, that is a big ask.

Any additional comments?

Read this book.
