From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Jana DeLeon, a new installment in her best-selling Miss Fortune series.
What's a little arson between friends?
Undercover CIA agent Fortune Redding spent her first three weeks in Sinful, Louisiana, dodging insults, makeup advice, guard dogs, bullets, and Deputy Carter Trahan, both professionally and personally. But just when she thinks things are going to settle down in the small bayou town, someone sets her friend Ally's house on fire. Carter, who'd just started pursuing Fortune on a personal basis, goes back into cop mode and admonishes her to stay out of his investigation. This time, he swears, he won't issue any warning before arresting her.
But with her friend's safety hanging in the balance, Fortune can't resist taking matters into her own hands and calls on her partners in crime fighting, Ida Belle and Gertie, to help. This is a mission for Swamp Team 3.

After an unfortunate disability, I now spend my time with my beautiful wife, great kids, 1 grandson, dogs, and books
This series is captivating, fun, and provides an exceptional listening experience.
The characters are superbly developed, their personalities well defined, and the mystery is always at the heart of the story
Cassandra Campbell is by far the best narrator of any book I have purchased on Audible. Her inflection, different voices, and understanding of each individual character are unmistakably deep.
Fortune, Idabel, Gertie, and Carter make for great characters as well as the unmistakable charm of Ally. These characters are discussed in a way you would discuss old friends.
I know this book series is about strong women and was developed for women. But as a 45 year old father of three, married for 26 years, I find this book series to be amazing. It is hard to put down and I am chewing through these books ate rate of 2 per week. I have even upgraded my membership just so I can get more of them. I will be extremely disappointed when the series is over. Trust me, this series is a fantastic read for men too.
This one was different from the rest in the series and it's a welcome deviation. First we get to know more about Ally and get a lot more of Carter (wink, wink). It's just hard to believe that 4 books into the series and really only a month has gone by inteh lives of these quirky characters.
Attorney - love to listen to audio books
Don't miss this series - start from the first book to build on the characters and situations. These people become family. And the stories grip you from the beginning to the end.
Hebert is pronounced. "A-bear" not He Bert
LeBlanc is pronounced "La-Bla" not la blank
I expected this book to be fun and enjoyable to listen to and I wasn't disappointed. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
Hard to tell character. Luckily I'd already read the book. Bot. Give me a break. Thib as in thebididough
Pronunciation of these names are available online
loved it. the crazy situations fortune and her crew get into crack me up. I laughed so hard on many occasions. I live the character development as the series goes along with the awkward romance between Fortune and Carter. can't wait to start the next one.
Funny, addictive, well-delivered.
Unbelievable characters made believable by good character and story development. Add a believable mystery and this series becomes addictive. Laugh-out-loud antics and comments. I usually like more intrigue, but can not stop listening.
Campbell flows with each character. Some pronunciations are iffy, but would listen to her anytime.
I live to ride my bike.
This is still one of the most enjoyable series that I have read this summer. I have read Jackrabbit Junction Jitters: Jackrabbit Junction Mystery Series with Claire, written by: Ann Charles, Double Strike with Davis Way, written by: Gretchen Archer, Merry Wrath Mystery, written by: Leslie Langtry. This has great dialogue, funny supporting cast and intelligent and sometimes funny female character.
The small town life is still enjoyable and dead bodies are still turning up. Fortune and the Sinful Ladies are resourceful as usual. Now that Ally is staying with Fortune, funny is revived up to a new level.
