Publisher's summary

Here is LAPD Detective Harry Bosch as we've never seen him before, in three never-before-collected stories.

In "Suicide Run", the apparent suicide of a beautiful young starlet turns out to be much more sinister than it seems. In "Cielo Azul", Bosch is haunted by a long-ago closed case: the murder of a teenage girl who was never identified. As her killer sits on death row, Bosch tries one last time to get the answers he has sought for years. In "One Dollar Jackpot", Bosch works the murder of a professional poker player whose skills have made her more than one enemy.

Whether investigating a cold case or fresh blood, Bosch relentlessly pursues his quarry, always on the lookout for the "tell". In this first collection of Harry Bosch stories, Michael Connelly once again demonstrates that he is the master of fast-paced, brilliantly plotted crime fiction.

Impressed? Ace detective Harry Bosch is also on the case in exciting Michael Connelly crime-fiction novels.

A great way to remember past reads

For someone who does not follow Harry Bosch stories this book is a great way to see how the detective thinks and solves crime. For me it reminded me that I should look for anything new from Mike Connelly.

Short Stories

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a series of "short stories" not like the usual novels. Something to listen to in a limited period of time. Entertaining.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Didn't like the narrator's voice. He didn't distinguish among the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

As short stories it was possible.

Always very good Harry Bosch shorts

Fast paced good read. For these police procedurals, I liked the narrator. The short stories were good.

Good For A Quick Fix

Miss Harry? here's some really good short cases that are interesting and good for an hour commute each. Micheal Connelly has crafted three stories that show Bosch at his best.

Quick review of past stories

This is interesting that anyone your write this type of book. I can see this type of release before a major new book to recap all of the previous stories, a quick refresher as sort.
But just out of the blue like this, strange.

The book is fine, it just provides quick snips of the previous stories. If you just want to refresh your mind on a few books, this is fine.

Bosch Rocks

Like "Angle of Investigation", this collection of three story's is entertaing and fun to listen too.

Each story takes place in different points of Bosch' s career. After listening to them all, one thing is certain. Bosch always rocked.

Bosch kicks ass

I enjoyed having one of my favorite fictional detective characters in shorter stories than usual.

Great little stories

Have you listened to any of Len Cariou???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Really enjoy Len Cariou's voice. Recognizable right away in whatever form.

Do you think Suicide Run needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

If Connelly has more short stories - it would be great.

Typical Outstanding Bosch

I was definitely not disappointed with this selection. Typical Bosch and even the length seemed right.
