What do you do when you find yourself suddenly single? Go suddenly suicidal? Suddenly sexcrazed? Or simply slump into self-pity? Alix Callaghan, who thought she was in control of her busy life, feels like doing all three when her long-term boyfriend insists on settling down to a sensible existence – complete with children, proper meals and early nights – but without her. Little by little, though, Alix begins to think there might be more to the single life than the first shock of rejection suggests...

‘Hugely enjoyable’ (Best)
'The Sheila O'Flanagan guarantee is a pretty powerful one' (Irish Independent)
I always listen to books, seldom read them. I love Sheila O'Flanagan books and will always listen to them.
Can't think of one to compare it to, it's a story of it's one. I enjoyed it.
I love Caroline Lennon narrations. She is good at voices and accents, brings her characters to life.
Alex of course, very interesting person.
"Not as expected"
I like books which have depth of story but this book delved way too much into the detaill of financial markets and currency dealing for my liking.
It was predictable but okay.
I didn't have a favourite character.
Not as good as other books by the same author.
From the publisher's description I expected something more light hearted but a large part of this book was about the misery of breakup and rejection.
Nice story, with a steady pace and a narrative that will keep you listening and wanting more. Recommended, particularly for aspiring career minded women.
