Publisher's summary

Reece stood and faced the group. "Every now and then we get a break from reality. A glimpse into the other world that is more real than the reality we live in 99 percent of our days. The Bible is about a world of demons and angels and great evil and even greater glory. A world the prophets saw; the world Enoch and Elijah and Paul and John the apostle all saw. A world that is all around us in every moment if we would have eyes to see and ears to hear."

What if you could travel inside another person’s soul? To battle for them. To be part of Jesus healing their deepest wounds.Thirty years ago that’s exactly what Reece Roth did. Until tragedy shattered his life and ripped away his destiny.

Now God has drawn Reece out of the shadows to fulfill a prophecy spoken over him three decades ago. A prophecy about four warriors with the potential to change the world...if Reece will face his deepest regret and train them. They gather at a secluded and mysterious ranch deep in the mountains of Colorado, where they will learn to see the spiritual world around them with stunning clarity. And how to step into the supernatural as powerfully as anyone in the Bible did.

The four have a destiny to battle for a freedom even Reece doesn’t fully fathom. But they have an enemy hell-bent on destroying them as and he'll stop at nothing to keep them from their quest for true freedom and the coming battle of souls.

Not for me, but I loved his other books

I anxiously awaited the release of this book. I've listened to all of Mr. Rubart's other books, with Rooms being my favorite. I love hearing Mr. Rubart narrate his own books. I think he does a great job!

I was disappointed in this book. It is about spiritual warfare, but it goes to a level that is beyond my comfort zone or doctrinal beliefs. Mr. Rubart did try to use scripture throughout the book to back up the plot, but it didn't work for me because I felt that they were taken out of context. After listening to the author's note at the end of the book, I understand why he did things as he did in his book. He made some valid points about how numbed or blinded we are in today's society towards the spiritual stuff going on around us. I just didn't like how he chose to manifest that awareness in this book. His characters travel into people's souls. Now, they were there to do good, but I felt that what they were doing was part of the Holy Spirit's job.

I would suspect that if you are a person who liked "The Shack" you will probably like this book. I hated "The Shack" so much that I refused to finish it. I won't be listening to any more books in this series. The topic presented as it was just doesn't interest me.

Thought provoking!!

Not only was this book exciting and we'll written, it definitely gave me the desire to press in closer to Jesus! Also to improve my prayer life. I'm recommending it to my friends as a must read. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series!

Power of God

This is a powerful book. It makes you stop and think of what greater things Jesus told us that we would be able to do. I was intrigued by the storyline in the warfare and the power of prayer. If you want to challenge your walk think on these things. Pray as a warrior, unceasing, until you feel the release. All believers, not the religious, have this power. In our world today, we need to not compromise but war for His Name sake.

I Tried, But It's Just SO BORING!!

I broke my rule regarding writers reading their own books, used one of my credits and bought this book. I won't make that mistake again.

SO many reviews declared this book was wonderful, incredible and life-changing. I could certainly use an added spark to my spiritual life right now and desperately hoped this was it. It is not.

I did listen to the sample. At first I wasn't sure, but then I found myself forgetting about his voice and getting caught up in the action. That's why I broke my rule. As I am sure many of you know, samples don't always reflect how the rest of the book will sound.

I tried to get past his voice, and at times I did. At times, it wasn't bad. I tried to get past the boring parts of the book, but there truly weren't many. After 9 1/2 chapters of shaking my head, sighing and wondering why I kept listening, I finally stopped. IT WAS SO BORING!!!!

I hate to return yet another audiobook, but I am returning this one.

Eye-Opening and Encouraging

This book was incredibly hopeful and encouraging to me and my walk with Jesus. Do all these miraculously spiritual things really happen? Maybe. Could be. I believe so. Nothing is impossible with God. I love all the scriptural references. The story alone is captivating and takes you along on a journey through understanding that we are not just flesh and blood. We are all on a double journey of living out physical lives with family, friends, vocations, hobbies, etc. And we are also spiritual beings bought by the blood of Jesus, on a mission to share God with the world and fight battles in the spiritual realm along the way.
This book was fun and entertaining and stirred my soul at the same time.

Worth re reading

This book opens doors and minds into the true spiritual realm. It will create a hunger for more of what Jesus left with us. His holy spirit, love and power and a sound mind. Put into parable form this fiction so much more than fiction. Take the time to ask God for yourself "am I a warrior riding?"

Deeply Satisfying

The plot goes deep but never bogs down. This is an eye-opening journey as the characters learn to delve into their own pasts and the pasts of each other to root out the things that have kept them in bondage-from true freedom. They are equipped to fight and learn what spiritual warfare entails. Most of all they draw closer to God and to each other. Magnificent adventure!

Too much

Ok, but a bit too much. Lost me in parts, dragged. Not one I’ll read again.
