Publisher's summary

Carl Weber is the New York Times best-selling author of Baby Momma Drama and Player Haters. To be a member of the Big Girls Book Club, there's just one requirement: be a size 14 - at least.

Tammy, Egypt, Isis, Nikki, Coco, and Tiny are six voluptuous, feisty girlfriends who love a good book almost as much as they enjoy a good man. BGBC president Tammy is cooking up the perfect birthday present for husband Tim, but its success is totally dependent on her best friend Egypt's willingness to get frisky with them. Isis, meanwhile, has got two men competing for her affections - unlike Nikki, who's willing to do anything (with her roommate Tiny's help) to win her ex back. But none are getting more attention in the bedroom than Coco Brown, a married man-chasing gold digger who meets her match in a gigolo.

Carl has grown from Good to great

Carls earlier works wore always good page turners, however I would fell "left hanging" on initmate details that one gets with a Eric Jerome Dickey or Mary B Morrison. I must say he has landed on their playing field. The only reason I didnt give this a 5 is because I felt the ending lacked closer. I wont explain for obvios reasons.

Around the way drama, among good friends...

Where does Something on the Side rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my second favorite audio of all times...

What did you like best about this story?

The characters are all people who I know and can relate with...

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The depth of each person's character...especially Cocoa and Tammy

If you could rename Something on the Side, what would you call it?

Drama in the Big Girls Book Club

Any additional comments?

I could listen to it once a year and be entertained

Full of Sparks

Loved it. My favorite was Koko lol. I just wish it would've ended with a little more detail.

Fantastic!!

Learning all the characters was initially daunting, but Weber did a great job developing the characters. Every storyline was Fantsstic. I hated that it endred.

Just an ok read.

The storyline was highly predictable but improved over the course of the listen. A little graphic language goes s long way. Way too much uninventive flat out raunchy language likely to cover up for the plot shortcomings. Again, just ok.
