This isn't a coming out story. Nor is it the tale of a lonely heart-seeking companionship. This is about how I learned to fight.
My name is Nathaniel Courtney, and I m a survivor. I didn't let the cruelty of others wear me down, and I've weathered the more subtle hardships of the heart. Love is a Trojan horse, slipping past your guard and leaving you ransacked and vulnerable. I emerged from that war not unscathed but as a new man. The only mistake I ever made was letting the right guy get away. Now I've got one more chance. This is the final battle, because if I fail now...I won't. You'll see. Just listen to my story, Kelly Phillips, and when I'm done, please don t walk away. Take this weary soldier into your arms so we can find peace together.
Something Like Thunder is the sixth book in the ongoing Something Like... series, shedding light on past events while leading the listener toward an exciting new future.
The Something Like... series:
©2015 Jay Bell (P)2015 Jay Bell
I started reading Jaybell about three or four years ago and since then I have read everything that he has now said to say there's nothing more to pick from.
I have truly enjoyed the series and look forward to anything new that may be added under Jay's name I also. I also hope that the rumors that I have heard about a film being made out of one of the original books is true. I am keeping my eyes open for that.
I'm going to read the short story book and hope I find some updates. I'm sad they slipped in the fact that William and Jason are having issues. :( But great series and great book.
🌺 Lover of Amazing Stories 🌺
Every character is somehow connected to those from previous stories in this series. I especially love who Nathaniel was connected too.
Interracial love 💖💖💖💖 And that Nathaniel is connected to Star and Victor :-)
I loved how this story for Nathaniel and Kelly was set up. I loved Zero and what else could I possibly say, this is another lovely story of heartache and second chances.
Kelly matured so much in this story, I loved that he had Nathaniel's back no matter what.
And Nathaniel turned out to be someone completely different than who I thought he was in "Something Like Spring."
My heart felt amazing by the end of this story for Nathaniel and Kelly.
"Getting a bit stale"
How many times can I listen to the same story. I found myself wanting to fast forward through the parts I have heard at least 4 times now. Don't get me wrong it filled in some gaps but only a couple.
I don't do spoilers so can't say to much. But I accept he was emotionally damage but can someone really be so stupid...
The last couple of chapters where good, as was the 'shock discovery' though as soon as I heard the name Star, I sort of expected something.
My one thought.. If victor had known maybe things for him would have been different ..
