Publisher's summary

A man who thrives on wickedness and counts on forgiveness, Curtis Black proclaims to his wife, Charlotte, that he will sin no more. He's finally learned his lesson about straying, and he's got the repercussions of his past misdeeds to remind him. First there's his new baby daughter, Curtina, and her mother, Tabitha, Curtis' former mistress, who demands that the preacher be a part of their lives - or else! Then the interim pastor, who took over while Curtis was on a book tour, threatens to blackmail Curtis if he tries to push him out of the pulpit. But Curtis isn't the only one who has transgressed. In their darkest moments, husband and wife must ultimately work together to save their family, their marriage, and their souls.

Couldn't put it down!

Shame on me for not doing my reseach, but I knew I'd read this author's work before. What I didn't realize is that this book continues a storyline from 2 others I've enjoyed. What a pleasant surprise! This story deconstructs flawed Christians, people with SERIOUS issues, not goody-too-shoe, "holier than thou" folks. It tells of their shortcomings and growth. In some ways, it helped me appreciate the real power of forgiveness, salvation and God's love for us despite our wrongdoings. The narrator was AMAZING with her range of voices and the author's storytelling was SUPERB. Thank you for giving us an entertaining production.

Shockingly good

Was really hesitant to buy another Curtis Black audiobook but I can definitely say this was the best one so far. Plenty twists and turns that really kept me on my toes. I guess I'll make this series one of my must buys again.

I couldn’t get enough

I’m telling you this book is juicy.. I couldn’t stop, I was so into the story and it had me speaking out loud to the characters like they could hear me. Overall I loved it.

Seriously, Charlotte?!

I’m really enjoying the Rev. Curtis Black series. Being a second generation PK, sadly, I resonate with a lot of the drama amongst “church folk” - some of them are THE WORST! That Charlotte though?! She cannot be for real. I wanted to skip every chapter pertaining to her. Her behavior & perspective was juvenile & ridiculous. Overall, a great listen.

Great book

I didn't like the little kids voices. They made me cringe. However the book was very good. I couldn't stop listening.
