I'm a sucker for Dresden
I absolutely love The Dresden Files. James Marsters really brings Harry to life. This is a great collection of stories to fill a bit of the holes between books in the series. A must-have for any Dresden fan!

This book shouldn't be ignored
What did you like best about this story?
This is a collection short Dresden stories published for various anthologies that are just as rich and compelling as the larger books. It includes a short story that takes place a few hours after the last book (i.e. Dresden's murder). The book also includes comments by the author concerning the ideas / reasons behind each short story, which are also just as interesting, at least to me.

James Marsters at his absolute best
Jim Butcher gives in his own voice the background on each of these stories. I read side jobs when it was released and then when I had the money I got it on Audible, and I am so glad I did. I have listened to it at least 3 times in the past month going over the stories again and again as I travel. Marsters does an even better job than usual on each of these.

More meat added to a good cast of characters
we hear how long friends first met, find out more about an enigmatic character, and hear stories from the perspective of long running characters. I recommend this for any Dresden fan that has read books 1-12.

Start reading this one first!
I love short story anthologies, but I am bummed that I came to this one after reading 12 Dresden books. These stories take place before book one though book 12, so I would have rather have read these in the proper places among the other books. The start of each book tells you where it should be read, so you have a guide built in, use it! I wish I had.

Amazing
James Marsters does it again with this narration. Most impressive is how he narrates the stories that are from a different characters perspective with the inflection of that person's voice. Glad I got it and will listen to it again.
