The in between of books.

It is amazing stories between books. Made me want to go back through the books and listen to them again.

I needed a Dresden fix...

Would you listen to Side Jobs again? Why?

Yes I definitely will... I'm going to eventually read/listen to the entire series front to back in proper temporal order (including the shorts).

Who was your favorite character and why?

Toot of course... and he wasn't even in the book! Seriously there are too many good characters to even let me pick one.

Which scene was your favorite?

Harry's day off was my favorite short of the book.

If you could rename Side Jobs, what would you call it?

Name's fine... don't sweat the small stuff.

Any additional comments?

Tooooo short... and while I've enjoyed Jim's entry into steampunk... I hope Harry doesn't languish and Jim is able to maintain the 2 year release cycle.

I am never dissapointed with authors work. The story grabs you and never let's go.

Marsters Must Make the Difference!

With James Marsters voice bringing these stories to life even the first time attempt sounds great to me! The only problem with this book is it reminds me that the story was never finished! Was Harry able to walk away from Mab? Is Molly going to be okay? Do Harry and Ms. Murphy ever get a little "happily ever after "? I WANT ANSWERS!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. If you've read or listened to other books in the Dresden Files series, this collection of shorts fills in some details.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Murphy. She's tough as nails but also somewhat vulnerable.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't know if I had a favorite scene but my favorite story in the collection was "Day Off" because it introduced another level of humor. My second favorite was "Aftermath" because it is told from Murphy's perspective and that is pretty interesting.

Any additional comments?

Overall, I'd say the thing I liked best about this collection is that some of the stories are told from the perspective of other characters besides Harry.

Where does Side Jobs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am a HUGE Dresden fan and anxiously await any stories I can get! All of these books are highly entertaining and seem to grab me with the first words!

What did you like best about this story?

I like the stories in between the stories! My favorite is the Michael story line, but Harry vs his brother was greatness!

Which scene was your favorite?

(SPOILER) When Michael gets his daughter back from the nuts priest and he is standing over him after beating him senseless.....PERFECT!

I recommend ALL of these books are GREAT reads! They are action packed but enough time to grab your breath in between the action. Who doesn't love Wizards???

love the cast of characters

one of the things I love about the Dresden Files books are the family of characters that has surrounded himself with. when is the things I love about the dressing files books or the family if characters it he's surrounded himself with. I felt like this book really gave and additional look into who knows people are and made them even more lovable

does a great job of filling in the gaps in the novels. Easy to listen to, with great bits of humor.

Love Marsters voice and inflections. Nice batch of short stories and where they would fit into the series.

Amazing.

The narrator, and story are excellent. The characters are amazing. The only thing I have trouble with is the last story is in Murphy's perspective, but with the same narrator as Dresden. Since I am used to hearing from Dresden, I kept thinking the story was from Dresden, not Murphy. It muddled things. However, that is a minor issue and the biggest flaw. Overall very worth it!
