The story line is great, keeps you on your toes. And the romance is pretty hot too!

Sam was great! She was tough and knew what she wanted and how to get it!

What does Shannon McManus bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The book was read brilliantly. Shannon really did they job well.

Spellbinding!

This story grabs your attention right off, and you can't wait to find out what happens next. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't turn it off. Everything else had to wait until I finished listening to this book.

Too repetitive!!!!

This book was hard to through it kept saying the same thing over and over again for the first half of the book. I got exhausted listening to the same information about the main characters. I only finished listening to it because I am anal about knowing how things end but even that was disappointing. Use your credit points or money on something better!

Hmmm --- a little disappointing

I really enjoyed the free first chapter from Audible. However, listening to the full book was a little disappointing. The lead character seemed to annoy me. Plus the ending was a little too convenient.

Just don’t

It was predictable and so silly. I wish I hadn’t spent a credit. Let’s say something positive. The narrator was good.

I could've written in the story myself

The writer failed to capture my meditation come up there was no great hug. There is no climax. I guess the book was about a woman having sex in getting a shiver once. This was by far the worst book yet!!! Save your credit. Especially because you won't get back to 10 hours of your life.

I prefer to read her books

I'm not happy with the narration on her books. Not sure what it is, but I get irritated and have to stop for a while. On this one, I don't know if it's the way the narrator speaks, the enunciation, the tone, or just her voice. She does sound like the right age for Sam.
It got better about chapter 9 or 11, depending on the audio, or what the program says.

Ugh, no

Just come out and say it’s going to be a stupid “romance” novel, not any sort of action adventure. If I was taking shots to the amount of times she used the words “masculine” or “broad shoulders” I’d be dead of alcohol poisoning. Everything about this was stupid and unbelievable; the characters, the plot, the “surprise” twist at the end.

The main character was a grumpy idiot the whole time no matter what happened, and they both spent the entirety of their life or death situation being horny at each other. So unnecessary and gross. Then they said I love you to each other after knowing each other a few days. This was so unrealistic it hurt lol

Not worth the time

This story is so canned and predictable that it is painful. On top of that, the language Robards attributes to her leading woman and man is painfully boring and, at times, demeaning. The narrator did an okay job - not terrible, but certainly not star worthy. Everyone sounded the same.
