Still, life's never dull when Maxine's around, and Janey, who's rebuilding her life after her husband disappeared off the scene, is delighted that her sister's back in town. But when Maxine sets her sights on Guy Cassidy, the impossibly glamorous fashion photographer, Janey knows there's no limit to the mischief her sister will get up to in order to dispatch the competition.

Too old for the characters. She is a great narrator but it's strange listening to an older lady speak for the primary voices of the book which are in their 20s and 30s.
I regret this story came to an end...If you are a Chick Lit Fan and love Jill Mansell's writing style you will love this book. Each character is touching.
Annie Aldington does an excellent job!
Janey....without letting you be surprised she learns how valuable she truly is...Guy shows her why.
She didn't just read the story, she was apart of the story.
Blessings in Disguise.
The story was a fun listen in typical Mansell style - episodic, and slowly moving towards a much hoped for conclusion. Not overly-predictable, lighthearted but with some deeper moments. Annie Aldington does a great job of bringing the characters to life, and manages to make you forget you are being read to.
Sheer Mischief is pure Jill Mansell gold. She always gets there in the end, with a few laughs along the way. I'd definitely recommend it.
Jill Mansell likes to make you wait a bit in her books but it usually well worth it. Another winner. A light fun read. Not Richard, wife again.
"Enjoyable, predictable Chick Lit"
I enjoyed this book. It is predictable chick lit... from the first characters to the last and you know the ending almost within the first chapter. However it doesn?t matter, it?s entertaining, the characters are believable and the story is fun and edgy.
I would say worth a listen and enjoyable.
"Not What the title makes you expect."
The adults all lead separate lives but in the end they become entwined without you realising it.
It was both happy and sad but had you gripped all the way wondering which way each way the lives would turn.
Nothing she was just well balanced all the way through.
It made me shout at it at one point when I thought a character had made a huge mistake by taking a cheating husband back to give him a second chance when the listener knew he was going to do it again - and he did!!
I loved the book - thought it was great.
