Publisher's Summary

The author of New York Times best-selling novels like God Don't Play, Mary Monroe is especially adept at capturing the tumultous highs and lows of the unforgettable characters who populate her books. In She Had It Coming,it's the best of times and the worst of times for Dolores Reese, who's married to two different men in two different cities.

"She Had It Coming is Definitely All Right!!"

Mary Monroe is a great storyteller! This book is the lastest in her ability to weave together characer development and great dialogue. Ms. Monroe is great at descriptive storytelling and plot development. She is graphic at talking about benign deception, getting caught, developing remorse, and having to accept one's fate. This is a great read for everyone who wants it all but is doing it because 1) they don't know how to say no, 2) they want to feel good, 3) they don't know how to stop, and 4) they are in over their head. This is a great book and is highly recommended!

    "Classic semi-ghetto fiction"

Not a bad book. It's definately an interesting read from Ms. Patricia R. Floyd, who is always great. However, the book has a few things in it that just seem implausible, and overly dramatic, but that's usually par for the course for novels like these. Very entertaining.

    "I enjoyed this story"

I like this story. At times it seemed like Lo didn't care about but herself. I always liked Floyd and there was always an amount of pity that I had for him. But Paul was just an ass for no reason. You could always tell he looked down on her. The ending left much to be desired but overall it was a good story

    "Eh...okay"

2nd audiobook from this author. There won't be a third. Her stories are too drawn out. Lots of unnecessary information and back story. Not a huge fan of this narrator either.

    "Loved it!"

This book was a great read. Loved the twists and turns. Those who you thought were innocent, really weren't after all.

    "Just...........OK"
Would you try another book from Mary Monroe and/or Patricia R. Floyd?

    Yes

Would you ever listen to anything by Mary Monroe again?

    Yes

Have you listened to any of Patricia R. Floyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I love Patricia R. Floyd.

Was She Had it Coming worth the listening time?

It was a slow read. The storyline and plot seemed to just drag on!! I was a little disappointed because the book didn't captivate me like the other works of Ms. Monroe.
