What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If the plot actually lined up with the description.
Has Shady Palms turned you off from other books in this genre?
It makes me more wary of buying a book based on the description.
How could the performance have been better?
Her voice was a little high and you could hear static in the background when she was speaking.
Any additional comments?
This book has themes that are not discussed in the description that would have made me steer clear of it, including: terrorism, al-qaeda, bioterrorism, and bug infestations.

Story that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Would you listen to Shady Palms again? Why?
Yes! There are so many things going on that you'd probably understand some things you might not have the first time you listen to the story.
Which scene was your favorite?
Every death scene really, maybe Sanjay's cuz he's supposed to be a bad guy but he still does some good things. Also the scene with Mary at the end.
If you could rename Shady Palms, what would you call it?
The name is based off the Shady Palms motel that is the center of almost every chapter it'd be irrelevant to try and change the title.

I love Rose's narrating, I bought the book after listening to the free chapters on her podcast!
Horror/gore etc are not usually my type of book/movie but I gave the book a try and man did it shock! I cringed half the time and was shouting swear words the other half the time.
Come on people! Get your shit together!
I spent most of the book saying to myself "what is wrong with these people? How can they not see what's going on until almost the end of the story?" all in all I enjoyed this book and I hope there is a sequel because there are still quite a few questions left unanswered.

I hated it!
What disappointed you about Shady Palms?
Nothing! The story was crude and boring! I did not give it a chance to get better...I listened.but after a couple of hours (which I thought was a fair amount of time) it never got any better, so I removed it from my ipad.
Would you ever listen to anything by Allen Dusk again?
Doubt it!
Did Rose Caraway do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
