The story is so uncomplicated and simple and the characters so very lovable........It made me keep coming back to find out what happened........Thanks again Maeve!
Yes, because it is very interesting how the author develops the characters, and weaves their lives.
The ending. I also enjoyed the way the twins were taken treated, and how they became delightful players in this story.
listening to the expressions and the accents always adds so much to a book and was no exception in this book, I loved it.
Kathy, she had so many facets of her character which were shown in surprising ways.
It was a delightful book and a very good book to listen to and think about.
the narrator sounds just like my aunt Josephine. brought back many happy memories. I've listened to those I've several times and never tire of it. it feels like coming home. Thanks
I love Maeve Binchy's stories, the way characters are developed and evolve over time, and that they may recur in later tales. Each time through, I notice something different. They aren't overly complex, but her gentle view of humanity is a pleasure.
Possibly. Just to catch some of the phrasing I may have missed.
Kathy and Tom. Doggedly devoted and always there for their friends. Kathy is strong enough to realize when she's wrong and go on.
She has good expression and gives each character their own individual voice.
Binchy is always good. This may not have been my favorite book of hers but she can tell a very real and believable story that keeps the small twists going. I love her character development and real -life stories that are good without gratuitous violence, back stabbing and violation.
Yes! The story, characters and narration are great.
I enjoyed the entire book.
I love her pronunciation of the Irish names and places.
What a sad day it was when we lost Maeve Binchy.
Hi all. I'm in my 50's (that's relevant, i think), and I favor fiction. I like the british sensibility, and was introduced to the Forsyte Saga through audible ... loved it! I happen to also like Chinese writers, but they are not well represented yet at audible. Looking to follow readers with similar tastes ...
i find meave binchy's novels rather inconsistent ... sometimes engaging, sometimes rather sleepy. this book, i thought, falls into the latter category. i would recommend tara road over this one. the narration, however, excellent.
Anything by the author no foul language
All were great The children were great
Really don,t know
Read this years ago. Enjoyed it more on audible
Been here a while. Platinum subscriber. Scott Brick one of my favorite narrators.
I love this book and the characters have become old friends as I have followed them through subsequent books. Maeve's a marvel!
I have enjoyed Maeve Binchy's books since I first read Circle of Friends. Scarlet Feather is classic Binchy, full of colorful characters and smart dialog. The story lines kept me interested for the whole 20 hours, which is long for an audio book.
