When it comes to sizzling urban drama, Sasha Campbell is at the very top of the game. In Scandals, Monica Houston is a newly divorced mom who makes ends meet as an exotic dancer at Scandalous, the hottest club around. But if the ex finds out, she runs the risk of losing her kids.
Meanwhile, sexy dancer Robin Wright thinks she might be in over her head when her sister is sent to jail and her nephew is thrust into her care. Unprepared for this new role, Robin finds herself falling for the kid’s “big brother”, even as she tries to prove her sister’s innocence.

I listen to several audio books, this one here kept me on edge, It made me feel like I was in the story, anxious and all.. I have never listened to Sasha Campbell before, but I look forward to more by her.. great
LIFE just happens that way sometimes!
This book was amazing and had me at the edge of my seat. I love how the author brought these characters to life with words and the Narrators were the perfect match for this book. I have read other books by Sasha Cambell and really like all of them she is a brilliant author. Her characters are confident and deal with real life drama/situations that keep people engrossed in her writing and wanting to find out what's going to happen next. What I liked most is that each characters conflicts played a role in the way that they lived their lives. My favorite character was Monica because I feel as if she was most like me. I can totally relate to the part of the book where her true weekend occupation was found out by her love interest. In my case it was my older brother and his friends so I knew how she felt because I had once been in her shoes. I would recommend this book to anyone who is openminded and looking for something interesting to listen to. Sometimes as people grow they have to find their own way to their dreams, and in order to do that they have to take a journey and stumble onto paths along the way that weren't on the map. I feel that this book has great life lessons and each character made decisions the best way that they knew how to. Those stumbling blocks and decisions are what make this book a great read.
Scandels was a superb read. Robin held her own and despite the drama she always resisted, when it came her way--she made sure to handle it like a Lady! Her Treasure persona was professional and her compassionate spirit helped the ladies when they needed it. Monica did what she had to do as a mother who had to feed her children and I can respect her for that. She was Monica when she needed to be and Deja when it was appropriate . I was glad to use the credit to purchase this book because it showed women with real life situations and the spirit they used to overcome their problems. Check it out!
A Definate Must Read and Listen, Listening you can feel the characters more especially with an awesome narrator.....
I liked how what people may view as low class and negative can turn into something positive how she didnt make stripping her focal point in life...
My favorite scene...... THE HOT TUB LMBO
Most exciting nail biting part was when the truth came out and he was still free oooooooh
I haven't read the print version.
When one of the girls was found dead and we found out who it was. That was kind of sad.
Yes. Both narrators did a good job. They were enthusiastic and acted out their parts well. The only thing is the person who narrated as Robin, her voice didn't go with what the character was supposed to look like.
Don't judge someone by their secrets
Good book with a slight, yet unpredictable twist at the end.
I commute to work daily so really any book is time well spent. This one kept me woke on the road but it was not all that exciting.
I think what made it most interesting (and maybe most predictable) was waiting on the characters to get themselves out of the most obviously inappropriate choices.
I might try another if it were a daily special.
It could definitely be a movie - one of those mindless movies you watch on a lazy Saturday.
I would recommend this to a friend. One who is not offended easily :) I loved this book!
Good Sexual scenes... Has friendships to be and not to be trusted. Love and family!
Of course I loved "Treasure" she one Bad Azz Chick! Knows what she wants but has a heart of gold under her tough skin.
I loved the attitude they BOTH had. They played into the characters very well.
There Aint Nobody to trust
I got this book as a "deal of the day" and thought well it is only 3.95 wasted if I dont like it. Whoa! I was wrong! I loved this book. I loved all the characters I was so surprised at the ending and how all the characters twisted in at the end. Amazing Job at Writing and the Reading. My favorite part without giving it away was the ending, the "girlfriend" confesses her love too.... OH you have to read it!!
It ranks high it was a great book
Monica waking up to Ms. Rayna
I didn't like the readers. I've heard them both before. The voice of Robin did not match her character, she was described way to pretty to have such a heavy voice. The voice of Monica over reads and is always to dramatic which is the way she reads every book I've heard her narrate, she over emphasis her words and speak so hard that it becomes annoying.
Both Monica and Robin are great characters
Despite the readers the book was still great.
I cannot tell you what kind of story the author has told because, I could not get past the awful reading. This is the worst reading I have heard on Audible. The readers pace is too hurried and the inflection sounds trite and artificial.
Perhaps it is a good story. I don't know, could not force to get that far.
Love listening to stories.
That's right, before you allow someone else to protect you, protect yourself. A good education is a must for all women. Never take your education for granted. Never!
