What made the experience of listening to Saving Ceecee Honeycutt the most enjoyable?
The narrator was amazing, which was made possible by the beautiful descriptions of Savannah provided by the author. I will listen to this book again!

A Great LIsten!
This book reminded me of a cross between "The Secret Life of Bees" and "The Help". It was filled the with southern grace and charm and it was as engaging as both of those books. I usually read mysteries, but chose this one for a change. I loved the way the characters showed that kindness and love between women can make such a difference is our lives. Too bad more of us don't act like these women.

Mixed thoughts on the book
At times I found myself deep into this book....then disappointments. It almost seems like it is geared toward a 12 to 14 year old but not...somehow. It seems very unrealistic that ALL of these terrible things could happen to this little girl and those who surround her.
There were a couple of passages that did speak to my heart as far as having to deal with issues from childhood. I love the "life book" idea.
Jenna Lamia is an excellent reader! Her voice is soothing to listen to. A++ for Jenna!

The book we all need right now
I LOVED this book, it is definitely one I will listen to again and again.
The story itself is just charming and the intelligence of the woman that touch her life is amazing. Strong female characters, each teaching CeeCee about the world in their own beautiful way. Would that we all had an Aunt Tootie and Oletta in our lives. I was so sad when the book ended as I am pretty sure these woman had way more to teach us all.
So worth a listen.
