Stephen King writes a damn good vampire novel

I came to this book from the dark tower series and I'm very glad I did.

Great Book with Great Narration

I loved this book start to finish. Even before any action had occured I was already in it. The characters are developed to a point that you actually care what happens and it has an impact on you as the story progresses. As with most Stephen King this one is a 10/10 Highly Recommend.

Worth the time!

It's definitely a slow start that makes you wonder where King is going with it but if you're patient, it absolutely delivers!

Dated, but still a masterpiece

I think we take vampires for granted now that they’re on every tv show it seems but Stephen King was one of the first who brought them mainstream like this. I could do without the homophobic references every other minute, but it is a small town I guess. Even so, it’s still a good one. Required reading.

A Fun Horror Adventure

This is the book of a young author - it leans a lot on a specific gothic horror novel, especially when playing with tropes - but it’s still a well-told horror novel. It is a bummer that the forward COMPLETELY spoils what kind of monster it’s about, robbing the mystery from anyone who doesn’t know the plot. But it’s still worth a read.
