Sackett: The Sacketts, Book 8 | [Louis L'Amour]

Sackett: The Sacketts, Book 8

William Tell Sackett had followed a different path from his younger brothers, but his name, like theirs, was spoken with respect and just a little fear. Where Orrin had brought law and order from New Mexico to the plains of Montana, backed up by the gunfighting talents of his brother Tye, Tell Sackett's destiny drew him to Texas after he had to kill a man. There, in the high, lonesome country, he came upon a vein of pure gold.

    "A Classic Western!"

The Sackett novels by Louis Lamour rank with Riders of The Purple Sage and The Virginian in my estimation. This production brings Tell Sackett to life.

    "One of the best!"

This Sackett story is a classic tale of the brotherhood of Sacketts. In all the novels, they talk about their willingness to help another Sackett in need, but this is the one that really displays this family loyalty. Many Sacketts come together to assist Tell Sackett in the fight of his life. It's a bittersweet tale, done only as L'amour can do.
