    Overall
"much better than average chick lit"

might even appeal to fans of lad lit.

I found the first half of the novel a bit slow, but the last third had some manic Lou Wakefield plot turns and "out loud" laughs for me.

I liked "Tuscan Soup" better, though, because of the great narration.
