Historical aspects

This was a combination of two stories: one contemporary and another from the mid 18th century. Both were engrossing.
The familiar characters were there, along with others from the Civil War era; each had its own cast of characters as well as connections to the modern eras.
The flipping back and forth between the time periods was done very well, and the storylines were well balanced.
Excellent story and as usual I will follow this right along!

Loved it; couldn't put it down. The author captures a great story intertwined with run away slaves

Ended too soon!

If I didn't know there were more books, I would say this one ended too soon!!! I am enjoying them all!

Both. I felt anger at the slave owners and respect for the bravery of the Underground Railroad participants.

I can't wait to read more of the books in this series.

Excellent story and reader

What did you love best about Runaway Quilt?

This book was about quilters that discover a mystery and then search for documents and quilts that will explain what happened in the pre-Civil War era. Much of the story is told by Gerta in her journal and what is found there affects the lives of the present day quilters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and there was plenty of excitement throughout. I highly recommend this title.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Runaway Quilt?

One of the most memorable was when Sylvia found the journal and the quilts.

What about Christina Moore???s performance did you like?

Christina did a wonderful job differentiating between characters and Sylvia sounded just like she should - an older skeptical woman.

If you could rename Runaway Quilt, what would you call it?

I don't think I would change the name. As a history buff, this title caught my attention right away.

Loved this and didn't want it to end. Great story and one that keeps the reader enthralled.

Great Series

I love these books.They draw you into the characters lives and you want to know what is next.

My favorite in the series thus far!

I loved the historical aspect of this book. As always, the characters are strong and believable as in all of Jennifer's books. Can't wait to start another book in the Elm Creek Quilter's series!

I have recommended this book to several friends and family members. I bought a copy for someone who prefers to read.
