Matt Coleman always figured that at this point in his life, he'd be settled down with a family. Since his ex split for the big city, though, no way will he give anyone else the chance to drop-kick his heart. Physical pleasure? Hell, yeah, he'll take - and give - with gusto, but nothing more.
Hope Meridan is working long hours to hold on to her new quilt shop, going it alone since her sister/business partner ran off. Sex? Right, like she's got the time. Not that she doesn't have the occasional dirty fantasy about Matt. Fat chance he'd dream of knocking boots with her-the younger sister of the woman who dumped him. Nope, she'll just have to settle for the F-word.
Friends would be far easier if there wasn't something combustible going on between them. And when casual interest starts to grow into something more, their tenuous bond strengthens in the heat of desire. But it may not survive the hurricane-force arrival of the last person either of them ever wanted to see again . . .

"The plot holds up well, with plenty of tension, sexual and otherwise." (RT Book Reviews)
I think with each book the story/plot got better and I liked the way VA didn't forget the other previous characters but drew them into each book as background.
The others in the series.
It is my opinion that TS's performances are top notch. Her male voices sound like men and each individual male's voice is distinct. Her female voices don't all sound alike either - they too are distinct. Her inflections and expressions are appropriate. She does an overall great job and is one of only a very few females that can pull all of this off.
Matt & Hope - they are the hero and heroine.
It is only my opinion but I think they story/book could have been longer with more information about Helen and her part in this story. I think her character was abruptly chopped in the end and nothing definitively settled. That said, it did not detract from the book.
Can't wait for the others in the series.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
Matt, the kind, caring, sexy, handsome and oldest of the Coleman brothers, is reunited with Hope who's his b**ch of an ex girlfriend Helen's younger sister however he soon discovers Hope is the complete opposite of her sister - she's hard working, kind, independent, loyal and loves the town and family life and she's sexy too. So, like a moth to a flame, Matt can't resist the pull.
When they're reunited sparks fly and attraction sizzles but neither want to rush into anything or get hurt because of all the past bringing out their insecurities so they decide to first be friends before anything else should happen. Great plan right? wrong - Matt's jealousey makes him go above and beyond to win Hope unaware that she has always had a crush on him and he won her long before their agreement. He may be a doting docile boyfriend but, as their relationship gets hotter, he becomes an all Alpha dominent male between the sheets and she loves it.
There's no great dramas, no intense action, no nailbitting events, no secrets yet to be uncovered and spilled..... but what there is is a tender, sweet, sexy and hot romantic love story about two people getting to know each other, trusting each other and slowly falling in love. Other members of the Coleman family pop in and out of the story - so too does Matt's ex Helen who tries to stir up trouble.
Worth a credit? Another enjoyable addition to the Six Pack Ranch series and, for romance lovers, a definite creditworthy addition to your library and I'm now eagerly awaiting book 4 Rocky Mountain Angel - Gabe's story (from book 1)..... so we've got cousins, friends and other Coleman brothers yet to find love and long may this series continue.
I've been an avid reader since I was a child. I love different types of writing styles and I am never afraid to try new authors.
This was my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised by this book. While this book didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, and might not be a book I listen to often it was enjoyable and quick.
