Publisher's summary

In the second e-novella in Molly Harper’s Bluegrass series of contemporary romances, two people determined to fulfill their own agendas come head to head—and find love in the process.

Kentucky Tourism Commission employee Bonnie Turkle is up Mud Creek without a paddle. When she gets permission from the state historical society to restore McBride’s Music Hall in Mud Creek, Kentucky, to its former glory, she thinks the community will welcome her with open arms. Instead, her plans interfere with a proposal to sell the property to a factory that would bring much-needed jobs to the town.

Even though Bonnie is trying to preserve mayor Will McBride’s family heritage, he is more concerned with the welfare of his people than memories of the past. Will finds her optimistic sentimentality extremely annoying—but that doesn’t stop him from kissing Bonnie senseless.

With an inspection deadline looming and local saboteurs ruining her restoration, Bonnie must find a way to compromise with Will to save McBride’s and the town…while hopefully winning a few more kisses in the process!

Rhythm and Bluegrass

Molly Harper is one of my favorite authors. Though the titles in the Bluegrass series don't have people staring at me because I'm snort-laughing and wiping tears from the corner of my eyes like the Naked Werewolf books do, they are still authentic Molly Harper and are wonderfully light, funny, and entertaining.

Rhythm and Bluegrass follows Kentucky Tourism Commission's Bonnie Turkle as she tries to salvage historical treasures from a once famous music hall that's scheduled to be demolished (and replaced with a factory site that might just save the town). Mud Creek mayor/volunteer fireman/occasional damsel-in-distress rescuer Will McBride doesn't have much love for the music hall and what it's meant for his family, but he still doesn't mind Bonnie ... until she registers it as a historical site and halts not only the negotiations of the new factory, but also the hope of recovery for his entire town.

The story is peppered with the main character's love of history, wonderfully crafted "locals," and Harper's trademark wit, not to mention a satisfying dose of romance. You don't need to read My Bluegrass Baby first in order to enjoy Rhythm and Bluegrass, but I do recommend reading both. And everything else Molly Harper writes. I'm just saying.

P.S. Amanda Ronconi is INCREDIBLE.

Disappointed

Not as good as her other stories. I like her paranormal series better. I would like to see more of them

Easy listening, fun story, good time with friends

Would you listen to Rhythm and Bluegrass again? Why?

I like Molly Harper, I like her sense of humor, this series next to "Naked werewolf" books is my favorite. This book (#2) is , I beleive, the best in the series. It's funny, original, and really enjoyable. I was upset when it was done. Molly Harper makes me feel like I am catching up with my friends. When I listen to her books I find myself involved emotionally in the characters life. Molly Harper makes us experience the book emotionally and that's really awesome.

What did you like best about this story?

Humor, the story makes me laugh but also makes me cheer for the main characters

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Like always Amanda Ronconi rocks! ! !

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A story about the Back Then, Right Now and One Day coming together to teach a man, a family and a town how to believe again.

Any additional comments?

You will not be disapointed !

The witty one liners kept me listening

After enjoying the 1st book I looked forward to this one, thinking I had finally found a seriess I could get into. However, in this one it seemed to jumped forward alot making me wonder if I slept through some parts or maybe pages of the book were missing when recorded, or it was just plain ol hurriedly written? But again, the wit is worth the listen in this series thus far.

Love it.

Better than book one of this series. This is one of the author's 3arlier series and you can certainly see the deeper character development compared to the first book in the series. The narrator's voice 8s a perfect complement to the writer's style and very soothing.

Great fun and a little history too!

Where does Rhythm and Bluegrass rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well for a lighthearted read which I seem to look for more and more, maybe the news is always a bummer ...I think it was great. The story was good and I felt the research for the story line informative.

What other book might you compare Rhythm and Bluegrass to and why?

And one more thing.. same lighthearted fun romance but I found myself belly laughing at the one more thing, this one almost hit the mark but certianly worth the read.

Which scene was your favorite?

I guess the car burning scene

Any additional comments?

I would recomend this to my friends for just a fun book.
