Retired CFO, Army wife, Mom of five, Grandma of six, two sons who served in combat, love to read books that reflect my values and faith, love mysteries, historical, military stories, and books that don't waste my time . . . if it doesn't have an ending that was worth the wait, I'm not a happy camper.

    "Culture Shock and Jesus"

The work ethic of the Chinese people has always intrigued me. I've seen it in my daughter's friends at her university, and this book has helped me understand it even more. Most Chinese students NEVER want to go back to their own country after living in the United States. When this young woman came to America to get her degree, she was dead set on returning to China and "joining the party". Yet she was unable to deny the love and care of the Christians she met and became good friends with. And then there was the young, handsome Chinese man who had become a Christian . . .

The storyline was well thought out. I enjoyed the characters especially Oni. This was a great book. I would recommend it to others.
